On the form it ask where my fiance will be living when he arrives; the address I am living at now will be different in a few months. Should I wait to fill out this form until I move or will I be required to do a change of address withing the process of getting his Visa approved?

You can enter your current address. Not an issue. Don't need to hold off filing :)

Just make sure to update USCIS upon moving so that the relevant paper mails get delivered to you. Here's where you update your address while your petition is in processing: https://egov.uscis.gov/coa/addressChange.do.

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

I am having issues with this right now. It just so happens that the day my petition was approved is the day i requested to change my address with the USCIS. They have not given me any answers on where it was exactly sent. So now i have to wait 30 days and if i dont receive my NOA2 in the mail i have to call and request a new one to be sent to me. Its a big mess.

See and that is what i am worried about the most.. i don’t want to go through all of this and have to deal with that exact issue.. I’m sorry you have to go through that.

If you are very worried, you can always use your parents' or a sibling's address first and list it as your 'mailing address'. Mailing address does not have to be the same as your physical address.

  • 2 years later...

Good day I have a question, my fiancee is about filing form i-129f for the k1 visa.

I currently as the beneficiary, is in the Netherlands but I have the feeling I should be Germany by or before the petition is approved(NOA2).

Is it possible to change the mailing address to my address in Germany so that I can  easily attend my k1 visa interview in Germany  and not in netherlands
