So ill try and keep this simple.

So currently I am a U.S. citizen And my girlfriend (immigrant) is on a working Visa.  We want to get married in the future.

The twist that is going to complicate things(i think). Her job has us moving out of state, and this means that I will be leaving my job behind(she has a PHD and her job will pull in significantly more then mine). Anyway, When we get to our new state, ill probably pick UBER-ing back up to bring in a income for myself till I find a job more suited to my normal career.

When we fill out our I 864 down the line, will her income count towards meeting the income requirement?   I'm not overly concerned as I'm fairly certain my income even UBER-ing will be more then sufficient. But its nice to know options should we need one.

Ive heard it both ways. I've heard people say "yes" her income counts as long as she can prove that it will continue going forward. Ive heard some people say it wont count.

any help to simplify my understanding of all this would be soooo appreciated. Currently im stressed and I don't even know what I should be stressed about! lol

It counts and it’s always better to also have your income even if it’s less than what’s required for i864.
