Hey guys 1 good news for you! There is another case - another august 2018 filer got scheduled 1 week ago for 11/18/2019. So it looks like the whole process in Seattle takes around 15 months now.

Hi Felicie, Yes, it's good news. But does it trigger the approval of the I751 in the NBC

Hi guys! I was doing some research for Combo filers.

I went to VisaJourney--> Lifting of Condition (I-751) Timelines ---> select California Service Center filter---> Order by Last Updated --> Order Direction: Descending.

I know that these cases are not identical to ours (they only thing they share is the filing to the California Service Center, but the Naturalization happens somewhere else in the US)

It's very encouraging. Check this out.

This case happened today, Wednesday October 23, 2018.

It's a combo filer who sent the documents to the CSC and then his case got transferred to the National Benefit Center.

The person showed up for the Naturalization interview today.

Please read his quote:

"My case was transferred to the National Benefit Center on 08/16/2019. My interview for citizenship was scheduled on 10/17/2019. Despite my attempts to find out if they were going to conduct a dual interviewed, it proved to be futile. I even talked to a level 2 agent from USCIS and he assured me that my I751 was not going to be adjudicated during my citizenship interview. However, when I got my citizenship interview, the IO told me he needed to adjudicated the I751 form first. He just went thru the form (did not ask for any supporting document, nor the presence of my husband. He then told me that he was going to approve that form."

This person's local office is in Saint Paul MN.

Based on this recent case, maybe they didn't eliminate the combo interviews. :)

From the same person that I posted yesterday (Combo filer, first filed I751 to CSC, his case got transferred to NBC, then interview for N400):

"

Yesterday I got an electronic update, new card is being produced. I attended my citizenship interview yesterday and the IO conducted the I-751 before my citizenship interview (which went well, I was recommended for approval). Anyways, I made a good connection with the IO and he told me something I found interesting that I wanted to share. He told me that the backlog on I751 application might increase, and that filling for citizenship pushes USCIS to adjudicate your I751. He also mentioned that the applications that have a citizenship applications are pushed forward. I have read in here a lot of debate about the negative impact filling the N400 is when your I751 is pending. This IO told me the opposite, just informing. Having said that, you really can't never tell what's true or not... LOL

Case number: WAC1812751XXX"

Good news, congratulations.

It's not my case (thank you anyway!).

It's a case of a combo filer.

I tracked it down because it happened yesterday.

In summary, they approved both his Green CArd and citizenship at once.

What I found very encouraging, is his I751 was transferred to the NBC (like most part of us).

Thanks so much for sharing. You have an idea how long it took for him to attend the interview after his case was transferred to NBC

Yesterday my estimated wait time counter reached to 1 Day and today it's showing "We are taking longer than expected to process your case. you do not need to do anything at this time.". I wish they don't add 3 more months to my wait time again like last time. I'm second week Sep 2018 Eastside filer.

* He originally filed for I751 on 2018-03-15 (California Service Center).

* His case was transferred to the National Benefit Center on 08/16/2019.

* His interview for citizenship was scheduled on 10/17/2019.  (Therefore, it took him 2 months between I751 transfer and N400 interview)

* His 10-yr GC was received on 2019-10-23

* Yesterday he published " "you attended your interview, you don't need to do anything at this time" (meaning they haven't approved his N400 yet).

It's interesting (and very useful) for Combo Filers to follow up on Lifting Conditions for I751 rather than reading only about N400.

It's a big difference between filing N400 after you have your GC.

Please if anybody in the Forum has information about combo filers in Seattle, share with the rest.

Your information is really useful. I just did my fingerprint for N400 on the 21st of this month, hopefully they will send a letter for interview. GC is still pending at Lee Summit Mo where they have jurisdiction to the case after it got transferred. Texas is slow but I believe my case won’t be that slow. Thanks again for your useful information.

I applied around the same time As you. As of today, mine shows that there’s 14 days before getting an interview so please keep me updated on the interview time. Maybe you will hear something by the end of this week or next week
