The statistics for the quarter ending on 6/30/2019 are posted on the USCIS website, and we can clearly see that around 4,500 cases have been transferred to Yakima and Portland.

Seattle's processing rate has returned and matched the receiving rate. So, the wait time to interview should be stabilizing and hopefully improving soon.

Filing tomorrow!

Are only people who live in the Seattle area being transferred to Yakima and Portland?  I see people mentioning “south of Seattle” for those being transferred to Portland. I live in Grays Harbor county, on the beach. So it’s “south of Seattle” geographically speaking but it’s not the south of Seattle. Am I likely to be transferred to Portland?

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

-          Pending applications with address "South of Seattle proper" (including Auburn, Des Moines, Federal Way and south from there) will be interviewed and adjudicated in Portland (he wasn't sure about Kent and Renton);
-          Pending applications with address "East of Seattle proper" (including Bellevue, Issaquah and east from there) will be interviewed and adjudicated in Yakima;

Ah thank you! It says “those on the Olympic peninsula will be interviewed in Portland”. That would be me then! Portland it is.

When I applied last year it was 14 - 16 months in Seattle. Now 16 to 20 months. Well just kill me.

My co-worker who filed N400 in March 2019 from Federal Way and already got scheduled for the interview at Portland, Oregon in October 2019, so his timeline only 7 months total. I filed in November 2018 from Renton still hear nothing at all. Apparently USCIS skips line for some applicants.

Lucky coworker. My husband filed sept 2018 (Bellevue) and still waiting. I was at least expecting a notice that his case was moved to Yakima or something. At this rate I’m thinking we are going to be processed in Seattle.

Well my journey is over . Now I'm US citizen.

I apply feb. 2018.

My interview was April 2019 and I get "decision can't be made ".

I was waiting patiently 4 months without any info passes or calls and after 4 months I received notifications that my application is approved.

2 days after scheduled for oath ceremony and 4 weeks after that I attended my ceremony and became citizens.

I wish goodluck to all of you.

My advice: be patient and you will get there.

Thank you all for help.

I have a friend who applied in August 2018, just a month before me but got an interview in January 2019. They skips line for sure, but dont raise your hope.
