N400 filed and bio done on October 2018

no updates for interview yet!!

Estimated wait time is keep fluctuating ( now estimated wait time 4 months and case completion time 5 months) , but I have heard estimated time is just for estimate time. Could anybody has any idea when I should expect my interview roughly.

Hi Himal! I also filed in October 2018. We should expect the interview around 15 months. For me, the expected dates are somewhere inbetween Feb 10 and Feb 28. It's just an estimate but I have been looking at intervals for many people in Seattle and that'swhat it looks likely. There is more uncertainty in terms of what happens after the interview, though.

Thanks GremanG. Sounds like this https://www.uscis.gov/news/alerts/uscis-aims-decrease-processing-times-n-400-and-i-485?utm_source=rss-feed&utm_campaign=Alerts does not help us as Seattle is extremely  backlogged.

just curious, could you tell me what is your estimate wait time and case completion time?

Based on the interview dates that VJ members have posted, the wait time for Seattle cases that got transferred to Portland or Yakima have resulted in a shorter wait time already. However, the wait time at the Seattle field office without a transfer is still increasing.

Seems like wait time depends on zip code, those folks who’s file would go to Oregon or Yakima they will get interview away before Seattle field office? Or I am not understanding at all.

The data here is from VJ members that live within the Seattle Field Office area. These cases started in Seattle, but people who live in areas that get transfered are seeing an decrease in the interview wait time.

Does anybody knows how long to get oath ceremony schedule? My field office is Seattle. But had my interview July 23 in Portland Oregon. Still shows"Oath ceremony will be scheduled"..

I also wonder if they will schedule my ceremony in Seattle or Portland.

Any similar experienced?

Tia :)

OK, so my system got updated with I am in line for the oath ceremony. Seems like I am back on track and things are getting to a great end.

Anyone here was able to apply for the passport on the same day after the oath? Do you mind providing more information on where to go and how does the process work? I read that the normal way to do it, is to go to one of USPS approved sites in person and apply, but that takes 4 weeks. I heard from some of friends, that you can apply in the passport agency in Seattle the same day and get the passport in few hours.

Any information on this would help.

Thanks.

What's up with you, did you have your oath yet?

@El79 Hey there,
I am almost there, but not yet.

They cancelled my ceremony twice and caused alot of confusion because they sent me 9 different notices. The latest was last week with an oath on Thursday, I am hoping that Thursday will be THE DAY.

I will let you know how that goes.

What about you? Did you hear back from them?

Excellent...Congratulations.

Don't worry, at this point it's just a matter of finding you a spot. My status changed to "You are in line for the oath" on the same day as the approval, and the "we scheduled you oath" 4 days later.

Congrats, you are 99% done :) few more days and hopefully you'll get the letter in the mail telling you about the date.

Yes, one status said "we approved your application " on other page status is "you are in line", so hopefully couple more days 👍
