Hi, do you mind sharing how the interview in Portland Oregon went? I'll love to hear cos my friend has just been scheduled to go for her interview in Portland, OR from Seattle.

Thanks

Do you know when your friend applied and when is her interview date? I'm trying to track the trend of the Seattle field office.

Sure!

my interview was at 9:22 am. I think i waited 5 minutes until i got called in.

the officer was nice but didn’t wanna do much Small talk haha

he swore me in and took my green card. He asked me to read a sentence and then write “I payed taxes” .

next part was the civics test which was super easy.

Then he went over my application and asked for my husbands date of birth and name.

He then asked me to answer all the yes or no question again, which took maybe 3-5 minutes. I actually forgot to answer one in my application Online and he was super nice about it and said he thought that’s what happened and corrected it for me.

He said I was approved and if I wanted to attend the ceremony that same day. I said yes and he gave me a pink paper to bring back with me 3 hours later.

I think it took around 15 minutes.

:)) I was super nervous but it wasn’t bad at all. He didn’t want to see any of my documents I brought and nothing else other than my greencard.

I am trying to figure out how long it's taking for people who got "Decision Cannot be Made" to get the decision after the interview.

I know @El79 anyone else who got a Decision Cannot be made and still waiting or got a decision? Let me know your timeline please.

I am still waiting, already 70 days and counting.

Why in hell would they take this long? Did they give a reason at the interview? Is there any special circumstance or special answer on your application that warrants this long of a decision making process?

This is torturous.

I applied in Sept 2018 and the estimate time is now Dec 2019. Estimate time 5 months and estimated completion is also 5 months? I don’t know why its taking this long... my case is not transferred. Probably because I live in North Seattle :(

seems that everybody is reporting 15+ months. mine was like yours but then they increased the estimated time closer to the 1 year mark.

Can someone share their Infopass experience? I have an appointment with them to get some real updates about my case.

I've been reading alot, and seems that alot of people did not find any benefit if the decision cannot be made is less than 120 days. Please let me know your feedback.

thanks.

I totally missed this question.

The only thing they said at the interview "We will hopefully see you soon" and that was it.

If you read my posts, you will see the pain i've been going through by calling them, getting wrong information and waiting. Regarding my case there's a single tiny complication, but according to my lawyer this should NOT be an issue, and nevertheless even if it's an issue they should still be able to at least make a decision (Yay or Nay).

Anyhow, I am hoping to get responses on my earlier question on whether or not a visit to the infopass is worth or not.

Thanks,

I would say go to the infopass. Last time I went there I was able to get the interview for the next day. They just went upstairs and came back with the interview scheduled.

Its not hurt to go, you don’t loose anything and might have useful information
