Well, not even 24hrs after I joked about being a week out, when I signed in to check just now I discovered my interview has been scheduled! Hooray! :joy:

Tuesday Sep 28 @ 10:15am in Tukwila

Mine also has the Spokane Field Office address at the bottom of my letter, like @swadesi above.

Note: no email or text notification, I was just doing my daily 'I wonder if anything has changed' logging in and saw the update.

I am wondering why they skipped the rest of April 2020 and May 2020  fillers and doing interview for June fillers!

It sure is frustrating.

We had received a notification in early July stating "We have taken an action on your case" but there was no actual update.

I think it was about our cases being transferred to Spokane field office. @leethompson and @TheyLoveMe had both received the same message on the same day, and now we have all been scheduled also on the same day (different interview dates though).

Am sure your notification is also just around the corner.

Watch out if you are a male or female. We noted before in this forum that they prioritized female candidates 🤣🤣. This happened to me as well, so do not worry. You will come in line. Could be the male or female issue, or could be the officer handling these people are faster. Tons of reasons, but you will get there. I and some people were in the same position when they skipped Dec, and Jan and processed Feb and March.

It may be a luck-of-the-draw thing; if a general stack of forms were sent out to Spokane for processing and that office is working faster/has a smaller load than the Seattle office processing team, those interviews might come up first.

Dozens of other things could also affect processing times - 3yr vs 5yr, country of origin, responsiveness of any other agency involved in background checks.

But my guess would be that a load of case files were diverted to Spokane because they had availability and they just got through the work quicker.

Not necessary. I was processed by an officer in Spokane, but was super late in the line.

Did I make a mistake? When applied for a passport, I did not submit my name change from the court, as it was already changed during naturalization and my certificate have the new name. Should I also submitted my court order of name change? I listed in other names section, my old name with old family name, but did not attach my name change court order.

I went to Bellevue USPS today and asked the guy about it. He said you don’t need to submit your court order name change. Since your Naturalization Certificate is already in your new name, the State Department already has your new name in the record. They will issue you the passport in your new name.

Folks,

has anyone applied for enhanced driver license after naturalization. I want to know the process of getting one.

My wife is changing jobs and the new employer needs the proof of citizenship. We have applied for passport so the naturalization certificate is sent there. Just wondering if we could get an EDL to show proof of citizenship.

You can't apply for an EDL without the original naturalization certificate. You now have to wait to get the passport or the certificate back.

Would it make sense to get the EDL first? Also, does anybody know when you can update your status in your social security? Is it only possible after you get the passport back?

Using a black Pen

Did you sign your full name or your regular signature? I don't usually sign my name, I do a funny drawing 🤭 (which I did next to my picture on my certificate during the interview).

But I hear that I can't draw the same on the certificate, I have to put my name instead? I haven't  done anything yet.
