my interview is on March 27th at 2:30PM. Do you guys know if i will be able to have the Oath ceremony the same day? also, has anyone do the combo interview here (i751 and N400)? If yes, what did you bring?

Also, in my interview latter, it does not say anything about i751. Should i just assume that it will be a combo interview since my 10 years green card is not approved yet.

With a high confidence, I would say the chance of having a same-day oath ceremony is close to zero. I had my interview scheduled for 1:30, was called in around 2:15. In order to make the cut, you really have to interview early morning.

It is so unfortunate how backed up Seattle office is. My interview was in Jan. My ceremony is scheduled for March 4th.

The cutoff time for afternoon oath is 2:30pm so you won’t make the cut. The letter doesn’t say it, however; it will be a combo interview because your I-751 needs to be adjudicated before you can successfully naturalize. Take your spouse with you there just in case he’s also needed (though you may still be interviewed alone), and also make sure you carry some current/recent on going bona fide documentation since you filed your N 400 to show that on going marital union to be on the safe side. A few random ones for the past few months will do the trick if requested.

Has anyone gone to their interview with their passport expired? I am debating to get a new one because the closest embassy from my country is in San Francisco and it expires in April.

I wanted to add that I only have the stamp on my passport currently, as my green card is still in ROC process and I will have a joint interview.

Your expired passport at the time of your joint I-751/N400 Interview isn’t an issue. The validity of your I-551 stamp on its own doesn’t change even if the current passport where it’s affixed gets expired. Same just like having a valid visa on an expired passport. You will need a new passport however; to travel out of the U.S. though in case you have to. In that case you will travel with both the expired one with the I-551 stamp to show evidence of your residency status and together with the new one.

Thank you! I plan to get a new one eventually, but it's a bit complicated to go renew it with work and stuff before April.

Around June 2020.

Seattle is currently taking 13 months to schedule interviews so he should be getting an interview notification sometime in March 2020 next year. Now this is assuming the pace remains steady and they don’t fall behind though. If backlog grows exponentially and they fall behind then it could stretch further.

As long as you don’t have international travel plans before becoming a U.S. citizen then you’re in a good spot. The only other catch is if for some reason your naturalization gets super delayed and you need another I-551 stamp when this current one expires. In that case you’re gonna need a new passport so the stamp can be affixed on it since an I-551 stamp can’t be affixed on an expired passport. The only other alternative is to have the stamp on a temporary I-94 card with your photograph on it.

I see. Actually, my stamp will expire in April (or maybe March) since at least to me they've only given it for 6 months at a time. I've had to get it 3 times already. Anyway, I might need to go and renew my passport anyway. Ugh.

What if my biometric appointment scheduled while I am out of town?  I'll be out of town the first week of March. Wondering what would happen ? Can I reschedule and how soon can I get another appointment? Or is it better to wait until I come back from my travel then I apply for N400?

also do they allow walk in biometric in the Seattle office if I showed up any day early ?

I did a walk in for biometrics back in December. Unless their policies have changed, you should be able to do the same.
