Are you associated with military? We have seen expedited cases for military and military members in this forum before. We wish you the best luck. I have the same processing time like you, so hope to hear something soon.

Got my interview on 4/16 here at Seattle. Do you know if they are doing oaths on the same day now? Also it says 14 months for decision... Hoping that is just an abberation

I applied in March 2020 and I just saw online that I was mailed RFE but there are no uploaded documents yet. I'm applying not based on marriage just after 5 years of residency, any ideas what the RFE is for?

The same thing happens on my case. I just called USCIS and the agent cannot see the RFE on their side. They escalated the case to their Tier 2 agent and will call me back in next few days. Hope they can figure out what happened.

Silly question, but is it reasonable for someone to wait for the applicant in the parking lot? It seems like I won't be allowed inside the building on interview day.

I don't see any reason why not, I've been there for my fingerprint, the parking lot seems like managed by a private company and outside of the building, so as long as you pay the (I think) 12$ fee, you can nap there if you want.

Yeah, I sent a message inquiring to USCIS and plan to call in a couple of days if nothing appears. It seems that the new system is glitchy because on my husband's application it says his next step is biometric appointment and he received the biometric reuse in December.

I agree with you there, I also got a reuse letter but my next step is biometric appointment on my timeline. There is a glitch...which is expected for a new system, however....its USCIS, you'd think they would get it right the first time!!

It's $8 but there is no time limit on the stay. I did see people waiting in cars, probably sleeping (ha ha!), when I was there for my interview last month. There's no possibility of you being allowed in with someone unless they are disabled and you are the carer.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Now a US citizen!

The '14 months for a decision' appears when the interview is scheduled. It happens to everyone and means nothing. I think it's just a way of removing your case from the list of 'people waiting for an interview'.

They were still doing same-day oaths at the end of last month.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Thanks, folks. Will probably pay the 8 or 12 bucks and camp out.
