I have seen three December files with interview dates.

Plus the two mentioned on here. Maybe they all filed elsewhere and were transferred? I don't know. It still doesn't seem fair.

Today marks 1 year since I had my biometrics in Tukwila.

Wow, one of them applied Dec, 2019 and interview in june 2020? That would be crazy with what happened in CVID and closure in March? How is that possible? Is the filling date a mistake? Maybe it was 2018? Would be great if we can reach this filler lol. I wish I was in his place. My journey now is 10 years since I came to the US waiting for this.

The filing date of Dec 2019 is not a mistake in his case. He indeed filed on Dec 2019. i know this from another forum (Dec 2019 filers) where he posted his experience.

The poster was on this forum at the time and it definitely is no mistake - December 2019 file date. It is a mystery how that person was interviewed in June of this year. With the COVID closures across the country a 6-month processing time was fast even for the traditionally faster service centers on the East coast. At the time, there were people from Seattle from 2018 still waiting for their interviews. I guess it’s just another inefficiency of USCIS and it will feature in my letter to Maria Cantwell.

Personally I feel that this is exactly the type of thing we should be complaining about. If no one complains, nothing will change. We pay the same fees in Seattle as everyone else yet our cases take considerably longer.

I see people who filed in June of this year - a whole 9 months after I filed - who already have interview dates. I see September 2019 filers (that’s my filing date) from everywhere else in the country are already citizens and can therefore vote this November. My voice won’t count this November, purely because I live in western Washington. If I lived anywhere else it would.

Thanks. You are right. If I knew how to complain about this I would. Will in the future. I’m taking the personal blame That I can’t vote since I procrastinated sending in my documentation - I’ve been eligible since 2017 🤦🏼‍♀️.

Seattle USCIS center is showing N-400 processing times of 17-23 months today. Last month it was showing 19-25.5 months. Good news, I guess!

I know it keeps changing though.

Late July early August it was 14 months. 😒

Yea, I hear you. This is no sense. Please, let us know if you sent to Maria Cantwell and heard anything back.

Most likely their application was transferred to Portland. Many people on the south side of Seattle got their apps transferred to Portland

I’m in Grays Harbor County - I actually live closer to Portland than Seattle - but my case hasn’t been transferred. I know they did that a lot last summer but I thought that had stopped anyway.

Hi BeMeow,

I brought all the evidence related to our marriage. Right before the N400 interview, I had to send back an RFE for the I751 approval so I showed up to the N400 interview with the copies of the same documents (updated mortgages, etc.etc.).

The Immigration Officer mostly focused on N-400 solo questions (it was no longer a combo interview because one month before the 10-yr Green Card had been approved). So, mostly Naturalization questions.

Hi German. My interview is in 2 weeks and I would appreciate your help with some questions

1. Did you bring all the old documents (lease, pictures, bank statements, joint bills, etc) that you already submitted for I-485 and I-751? If yes, do you bring the original paperwork or just copies in case the officer collects it?

2. Did you bring new updated documents after RFEs?

3. Did the officer ask for updated marriage evidence?

It would be a huge folder if I bring every single paperwork since I came to US and adjust the status. Therefore, I just want to know what is necessary and what's not. I know the naturalization interview mostly focuses on civic questions and is no longer a combo interview, but I just want to prepare carefully. Thank for everyone input in advance!!

Hi guys,

I just wanted to share my experience about my N-400 interview on 11/03/2020 (filed 08/06/2019 with I-751 pending). I got my I-751 approved June 2020, so my interview is simply a citizenship interview without any questions about my marriage.

My appointment was on 12:30pm, and I got into building around 12:15pm. Due to covid19, everyone should show up only 15min prior to their appointment time. Shortly after I got my ticket number, I was called by an officer. He was polite, welcoming and very nice. We got through civic test, reading, writing test within 10 mins, the remaining time is to answer 50 Yes/no question on my application for eligibility. After that, he updated all my address/ employment change since the application and make sure everything information is up to date.  Then he said he would recommend my application for approval and we waited about 5 minutes for the system to be updated. Finally, I took the oath in the interview room with the officer. The whole interview lasted 25 minutes, and I waited in the waiting room to get my Naturalization Certificate.

Overall the whole process seems quick and easy. I did ask the officer how many people he usually interviews per day, he said 10-15 in usual circumstance, and 6-7 people during the pandemic. I think that's why everything is slowing down.

I'm so thankful that my journey is finally coming to an end. I wish the best for everyone who is still waiting!!!

Congratulations. Very exciting. Doing a half of regular time, explains why things are moving very slow. I think we still have a long journey. I was projected in April, but my attorney said it would be in Oct/ Nov, but with the pandemic it's apparent this will not happen lol. Now I say, if this happen July/ August, I will be happy.
