Congratulations on reaching the final step. Interview is on the Election Day. What an interesting date to become a new citizen (if you have a same-day oath). I filed September 2019 so hopefully I will hear something soon.

Thanks God! I received my US Passport book on Friday 9.25.2020.

So, it took 2 months and 5 days since I filed. Not 5 months like people said before!

Well that is for me I guess. I was told that by USPS officer. You dont need to be cynical! There s no place to check that. He told me 5 months, i got my passport less than a month. Its bcuz of him, i canceled my trip.

Sorry about the cancellation of your trip. You should not call people :"cynical". Stick to the facts.

Finished my citizenship interview today. Went very smoothly. Was in at 12:30 and out by 1:10. Oath was administered right after the interview and gave me the certificate of naturalization. The officer was in the same room behind a plexiglass.

Asked the civics questions first then the reading and writing part.

Easy 6 questions: Name one state that borders Canada, Name one right or freedom from the first amendment, What is the capital of United States, How many US senators are there, Name one power that belongs to the state, Who was president during Great Depression and World War II? Reading: How many US senators are there? Writing: There are 100 Senators.

She went through the Yes / No questions and asked about being cited by traffic police for speeding and fender benders. Mentioned that since fines are less than $500, it's all good.

Waited in her office after interview was done for the oath to be signed off. All in all a quick and speedy process (once you get the interview).

Hello! I just received an email saying my “case is scheduled for interview”. I checked myuscis account and it still showing “we’re actively reviewing your account and you do not need to do anything this time”. How long should i expect for the notice to show up in my documents tab? How far out is the interview usually scheduled? I’m sick to my stomach because I’m not expecting and ready yet. I'll have to buckle up and start studying!
Also my N400 is based on my K1 marriage. Didn’t have any interview with AOS and ROC. Do i have to bring my husband with me? He’s currently away for training right now ‘coz he’s in the military. I’m honestly starting to panic now.

Do they do same day oath in the Seattle office?

Wow! You filed in December 2019 and you have (potentially) an interview already? Looks like they skipped past my file (September 2019).

You cannot take your husband with you due to the COVID restrictions. He is not “needed” for the citizenship interview anyway.

Lately some people have had same-day oaths. No ceremony. Just you and the officer directly after the interview.

Keep us posted!

Will do! Thank you!! I was surprised to be honest. I’m hoping this would be my last journey and do same day oath!
