Oh Wow... my Case completion time shows Feb 2021 .. what a bummer I really wanted to vote this year.

I wanted to vote too. If we lived in any other part of the country we would be able to vote this year. It’s regional discrimination.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

May 2019 filer here. Does anyone not even have an estimated date to completion anymore? I do not.

September 2019 filer. I still have the same estimated completion date. Maybe there is good news coming for your case and that’s why the date has been removed? Fingers crossed for you!

May 2019 filer, originally scheduled for March 2020 but interview cancelled due to Covid shutdown.  Estimated time on the portal showed Aug 2020 but now that has disappeared since we have entered September.  No news from USCIS yet.  Any other March interviewees with cancellations got theirs rescheduled?

Hello guys, I just want to share my interview from today.

I arrived there at 7:00 am and went in. I waited on the line for photo an finger scan. I went upstairs and waited like an hour although my number was 7.

The lady called my number and she said "your interview will be different than others. Your interview will be "virtual" (be ready for this)

So, I entered the room, she left. There was an Ipad and an officer on zoom/skype. He said hello. I am officer ..., you can take of your mask, no one will be here other than us.

Asked my legal name, date of birth, phone number, and address. and next was civic test.

questions:

What stops one branch of government from becoming too powerful?

What do we show loyalty to when we say the Pledge of Allegiance?

Why does the flag have 13 stripes?

Why does the flag have 50 stars?

What did Martin Luther King, Jr. do?

What is one thing Benjamin Franklin is famous for?

written test

he wanted me to write -> Columbus day is in October.

Reading test:

he wanted me read -> The president lives in White House

thats it. After those, lots of YES/NO questions from your application

We spent like 10 minutes extra beacuse I served in Army in my coutry and I had a weapon training. So he asked me lots of questions.

We waited like 10 minutes. His superior approved my application and he askmed me " Are you ready for oath? " I said "yes"

We did the oath ceremony and I got my neutralization paper for aply passport.. He clapped me and said "you are US citizen now, you can celebrate".

Thats all. If you guys have any extra questions, I will be here.

First of all, congratulations!!! I want to ask: was the civics test not a multiple choice test? Questions were read out loud for you to answer verbally?

No its never multiple choice.  He asks u verbally, and you answer verbally. You can think or ask him/her to repeat but its all verbally

Hi there,

I applied for my US Passport on July 20, 2020.

As of today, they are done with 92% of the application received during April, May and June. So, it's not true that it can take 5 months.

I expect to have it by December. :)
