We called... they told us that we're in line to be scheduled for interview and just wait for the notification.

Hey y'all,

Just received a letter from USCIS this morning. My appointment is on July 29th Wednesday. I am not a combo filer. Also for this letter, I didn't receive any update on the online account.

I filed my N400 on 01/31/2019 under the 3 yrs rule. My initial interviewed was canceled in Feb due to unfinished background check and cancelled again in March due to Covid 19.

I really hope this will be my last bit of the visa journey. Will update my interview experience once I am done with it.

Thanks,

Hi. How was your interview? Please. tell us your experience.

Thanks. Same here. April 2019 filer, initially scheuled on March 4. No updates

Francesco, I signed up just to tell you that if you haven't received an appointment letter in the last few days advising you of an appointment date in the near future, you should receive one soon.  I was a fellow March 4 interviewee who had the appointment pulled out from under my feet.  On Tuesday (3 days ago), I got a letter in my mailbox advising me to come in on Friday for an interview.  The waiting room was very empty -- they are really trying to space people out.  The interview process was very efficient; after verifying that I met the eligibility criteria, the USCIS officer interviewing me administered the oath right there in the interview room.  I am now a US citizen -- fewer than 72 hours after I learned of the appointment.  Just hang in there, and good luck!

Thanks very much LiOfPi. You guessed the timing right, I received a notice today for Aug 20!

I got a jury duty summons today but I’m not a USC yet. I obviously have gone online and submitted the ineligibility form but does anyone know where they get the lists of names from? It can’t be from the list of registered voters. Is it from DOL (driver licenses)? I’m just hoping my details haven’t been “sold” to the court service by a private company such as my bank.

In Seattle area they use both voter registration list and drivers license/non driver ID card lists. They say its so they get a good cross section of people. The system is really flawed though. Some people use variations of their name on voter ID and DL. Like a middle initial. So the system has sent out notices to 'both' people to show up sometimes in different places at the same time! You can double check with your local election office clerk person to make sure you were not accidentally registered to vote but most likely they got your name from the DL list. The bad part is when you tell them you are not eligible they dont remove you from the list, so you can repeatedly be called in and have to repeatedly explain you cant be a juror. When you do become a citizen though I would encourage you to participate if selected. Its an interesting experience.

It’s been a lifelong dream of mine to do jury service. I was never called for it in the UK and the first time in my life that I was called....I’m not eligible. I am definitely updating my profile with the courts as soon as I am a citizen. I’m in Grays Harbor County and the message online says “status suspended” and that I should contact them if my eligibility changes. I’ve never received a ballot so I’m pretty sure I’m not on the voter list but will double check.

I still haven't received my rescheduled appointment for my naturalization interview (it was originally March 25th), and I am getting super worried I won't receive it. These news about the massive furlough have me really worried. If I don't receive the letter before the furlough date... Can I consider it indefinitely paused? I have called them and they just said to keep waiting...

Hi @Francesco1 - Did you ONLY receive a physical letter too?  OR did you get the email notification and letter on the online portal?

Both. Actually two letters by snailmail and the online notice...
