Are there people waiting to get their N400 biometric appointment reschedule? Mine was scheduled on April 1st and canceled due to the covid-19. I'm still waiting. I sent inquiry requests but nothing.

Can I get it schedule via phone or are walk ins still possible?

They don't take walk-ins right now. I would call USCIS and and ask to speak to a Tier 2.

I-751 filed 9/2017

N-400 filed 9/2018

I-751 & N-400 RFE received 5/2020 and responded 6/2020

I-551 stamp expired 5/2020 and received new stamp a few weeks ago.

We have regularly been told that I-751 and N-400 would be adjudicated at the same time, but yesterday we received an email (see attached) about the I-751. Our lawyer has never seen an I-751 interview notice that mentions TESTING AND INTERVIEW, and USCIS couldn't provide any additional details when we called. Extremely frustrating.

Has anyone received something similar?

Hi, we might be in a similar position, but haven't received the letter yet. My husband is a combo filer (I-751 March 2018, N-400 February 2020) and his I-751 status changed yesterday. His I-751 was sitting at the NBC for 1 year while they reviewed his RFE. I was really shocked to see the I-751 status change to "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview". However, his N-400 is still slotted to be processed next year -- current status is "we reviewed your biometrics". I also thought they had to be adjudicated together, but I guess USCIS is making exceptions now. I have no idea what to expect, so we'll wait a few more days for the letter (no documents are online yet). I can't imagine USCIS would do the citizenship exam at this point, but I wouldn't put it pass them to try it.

I-751 filed April 2017

N-400 filed June 2018

RFE received May and responded in June.

My status changed to the same as yours 2 days ago. Exact same email and wording.

I will just wait and see what will happens next, whether it will be a combo interview or I-751 only.

FYI, I received this from USCIS when I asked Senator Cantwell to inquire on my behalf a few weeks ago. A few combo filers on this forum got their I-751 approved after sending in RFE and got scheduled for N-400 promptly after so not all case are handled the same.

Thank you for your inquiry regarding this constituent's immigration matter and his Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence. USCIS Boise Field Office has received Mr. Xxxx's response to the Request for Evidence and has forwarded his petition to Seattle Field Office, and currently, he is awaiting to be scheduled for his interview. Please know that soon, we will start interviewing applicants regularly, and we will be scheduling your constituent promptly. Please let us know if your constituent does not hear from us in the next 60 to 90 days.

We also reached out to Cantwell last month, but have yet to receive an official USCIS response.

You are right. Not all cases are handled the same. But what is frustrating is that I am a USC by birth and we have acquaintances in the exact same situation (USC married to citizen from Western European country), but they applied later than we did, never received RFE and already received 10-year green card or N-400 interview. In addition, we were never notified that our RFE response was received, and USCIS does not even see that it was issued when we call and ask about it.

Congrats!!!  Did you not receive any email?  Just physical letter?

Yes just the physical letter. No email change. No status change on the online account.

Quick question folks:

does anyone know how long will it take to get a judicial oath ceremony? I am actually thinking a name change. I am just curious how long it is going to take.

My I751 has been approved since July 14th and in online account it says "New Card is Being Produced" since the 14th as well. I changed my address on the 14th, it got updated within a few days. I called the customer service multiple times and they keep saying that it is still in production and that it can take up to 60 days. Does it really take that long?

I came across an article a few days ago that the USCIS has reduced its capacity to print secure documents, such as Green Card and EAD because it ended a contract with an outside company responsible for printing these cards.

Go to district court to do a name change. There's no judicial oath in Seattle right now. Normally it's only held once a year. So don't do a judicial one. If you need to change your name, go through the court and bring an original certificate to your N400 interview to update your new name.

Oath ceremonies are currently held immediately after your N400 interview in your officers office. Only the applicant is allowed in there.

Yeah, I found out about this today too. Hopefully it doesn't take longer than a few more weeks.
