Filed my N-400 yesterday, case showing estimated completion of August 2021.

Expected (based on following this thread for a while), but not pleasant. And I'd be highly surprised if this is even close to accurate.

It appears for those that have an N400 AND an I751 filed, interviews are being rescheduled.

Have yet to see any for just an N400.

I mean, in general it's good news that the office is open and they have resumed interviews... still wonder when they will resume N400 (non I751)

Yes. From the webinar it sounds they will be rescheduling but oaths are a priority till end of July especially in light of potential furloughs August 3rd.

Welcome, fellow Brit! We are in for a long wait but at least this is the last time we have to deal with USCIS for the rest of our lives. What part of the state are you in? There was a time that some people were being farmed out to other offices based on location (south sent to Portland, east side sent to Yakima) but that seems to have stopped now.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Now a US citizen!

Hello! Yes - I've very much reached a point where I just want all this immigration paperwork-and-waiting to be over and done with for life! Thankfully my ROC only took 11 months, otherwise I'd be doing a combo filing right now (and those have seemed to take even longer).

I'm just SW of SeaTac Airport, and approx 5 miles from the Tukwila USCIS offices. Easy for getting to and from biometrics appointments, at least 😄

I'd heard of them shuffling around N-400 cases to other offices, but I expect everyone's dealing with a big backlog now.

I'm just sad I'll not be able to vote in the next election in November; otherwise I can probably deal with another year (and change) of waiting providing I'm not being messed around.

I filed in September last year in the hope of being able to vote in November and that’s looking unlikely now. So frustrating. If I lived in any other state I’d be done or almost done by now. In our September 2019 filers group most are USCs now or have got scheduled interviews or oaths.

I did write to Senator Maria Cantwell about how I am being penalized for living in western Washington. But I didn’t even get an acknowledgement that my letter was received, let alone a formal response. I even saw people from western Washington who “moved” temporarily to Buffalo, NY (which was previously the fastest office at just under 3 months from N-400 to oath) to complete the process there. I pointed out to Senator Cantwell that I was aware of such things going on but I was remaining in Washington and not interested in doing anything underhand or questionable. I also said I was willing to travel to any office on the country for an interview and oath, at my own expense (I work for an airline so the cost would be minimal but still...).

We pay the same fee as people with much faster offices. That’s not right.

I just wonder what will be the approach for old filers like me. I filed the N-400 almost 20 months  ago (the expected completion date was originally Dec 2019 and then Feb 2020. Still in my rocking chair).

For the 2018 filers, is it possible to complain about outside normal processing range when they keep pushing the time line to 36 months? Has anybody tried anything or are we passively going to wait other 1.5 years?

I’m now wondering if the processing times have been deliberately pushed out to stop case enquiries? My hope would be that they are throwing every possible resource at clearing the backlog and moving those employees from the case enquiries desk to adjudications. I live in a dream world...

Just an update: We received the I-751 approval notice today (Filed in July 2017).  It says we should expect our green card within 60 days. The letter came from Lee's Summit. And we didn't receive any case status update online that the green card was mailed yet. No word on N400 yet (Filed in July 2018)
