Hi congrats on your approval. It seemed like Seattle combo filers are getting their I-751 approved before naturalization interview now

By the way. I really hope to get N-400 approved without an interview since I saw some one in this forum get their I-751 and N-400 approved together but apparently it's not the case for me.

Have you or anybody received any letter for N-400 interview? I am just curious to see what is going on after they opened up on June 4.

The letter that I received the last Saturday (from USCIS) says that I should expect soon a letter for interview (for Naturalization). No mention about skipping interview or test.

RFE response was received in Boise yesterday, so looking forward to seeing what comes of it. Also contacted Cantwell's office today.

What really irks me is that we moved from Seattle to Eastside about one year ago. We submitted our change of address and received confirmation of the change. When calling USCIS in recent weeks to get a new I-551 stamp, which is still impossible, they confirmed they don't have our new (year-old, mind you) address. Fortunately, the RFE was received by our attorney. Not to mention that neither MyUSCIS nor USCIS Case Status websites are ever updated. Extremely frustrating.

By the way, myUscis website hasn't updated the status, it still says:

Estimated wait time:

We are taking longer than expected to process your case. You do not need to do anything at this time.

I only got this approval information through my printed form!! So don't rely on the website yet!

It's so interesting! I thought that test for N400 was mandatory by law.  You are so lucky! I hope all of us with both petitions pending experience the same you did.

Congratulations!

We got this notice also..approved 6/2/2020

"We have approved your I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence. Our records also indicate we have approved your form n-400, Application for Naturalization, Because we also approved your N-400, you will not receive a new Permanent Resident Card (also known as Green Card). Instead, once you have taken the Oath of Allegiance, you will receive a Certificate of Naturalization, which will be proof of you U.S Citizenship. If you have question regarding this process, please contact USCIS."

and of course the system is not updated either.

To be fair, if they are the combo filers they have been waiting around 2 years already, through no fault of their own. It’s not as if the test is difficult for anyone who has been living in this country for a few years or more already.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

You are right, it just unbeliveable that USCIS is doing something different, then usual.

I got the same thing so I called and spoke to a tier 2 and they said this is an error. They said my cause status for N-400 is actually “interview requested”. I thought I got lucky since I’m a native English speaker but I asked an attorney and she told me to call because the law requires an interview.

Hi Tm and Je, I got the letter and my N-400 wasnt approved simultaneously with my  I751. I will get the permanent card in the mail. I guessed the decision is made on case by case basis. Another member got both applications approved together though

Hi @cherry03! How did it go today? We got a notification on Monday that the oath ceremony was scheduled but it still hasn't been posted nor arrived in the mail. How long did it take for you to receive it in the mail?

We are excited to share that our case status has changed to "New Card is being Produced" 😃 We tracked our RFE mail, and it was delivered on Jun 1st. Since then the case status didn't change at all (like RFE was received or anything), and today it changed straight to saying that they ordered a new card. We will update you when we have the card in our hands. Our MyUSCIS account still says case was transferred two years ago though.
