OMG guys!!!!!!! A couple days ago I received a phone notice that my Removal of Residence was approved, so it seems that it got approved without requiring an interview. Then yesterday I got the mail notice, which I was expecting to be a printed form telling me that my i-751 was approved and that they would be sending the green card soon... I almost didn't read it.... LOL

TO MY SURPRISE, the form said that they also approved my N-400 and that they will not send me a green card as I will just need to take the Oath and get my naturalization certificate instead! WOW. I didn't even need to go for an interview and do the test! I assume because of the COVID they might want to do social distancing, so they might be sending approvals to a lot of people to help reduce the backlog.

So I applied for the Naturalization 90 days before the expiration of my temp green card, so I think this doesn't put you on ahead of other people, because my approval time has been on par with people that has similar expiration dates to mine. I applied on January 26 of 2019, but my expiration date was April 26 of 2019. You can check my timeline for comparisons, I always put updates there.

Here is what the notice says for those who want to know how they phrased it:

"We have approved your I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence. Our records also indicate we have approved your form n-400, Application for Naturalization, Because we also approved your N-400, you will not receive a new Permanent Resident Card (also known as Green Card). Instead, once you have taken the Oath of Allegiance, you will receive a Certificate of Naturalization, which will be proof of you U.S Citizenship. If you have question regarding this process, please contact USCIS."

Yey!!

By the way, myUscis website hasn't updated the status, it still says:

Estimated wait time:

We are taking longer than expected to process your case. You do not need to do anything at this time.

I only got this approval information through my printed form!! So don't rely on the website yet!

WOW. Just WOW.

No interview for N400??? JUST WOW. I actually have a pretty much the same N400 filling date as you. Jan 31- 2019. I was supposed to go to the interview Feb 17 but they didn't have my case back and de-schedule  it. Now I am really curious if I would get approved without interview as well. Congrats! This is truly great news. I have  never heard you can get approved N400 without interview. I guess this COVID thing really made history.

I've seen three people so far who reported the same info. 3 different states.

The immigration process caused me PTSD.

Hi all,

Update: the letter that I received from USCIS Seattle office only says that they are working on my case (N-400) and I should expect the letter for interview soon.

It was a hard copy reply to my E-request that I did on June 1. False alarm.

very excited about the possibility of not having interview! I hope more people have that luck! :)

It was an email and text notification from USCIS yesterday. They changed my status too to transferred to another office then changed to we are scheduling your oath to oatch ceremony scheduled. It’s going to be in Tukwila at 9am. Hopefully you’ll hear from them soon so we can just get this done.

Excellent!! Tm and Je!

That's what I kept telling people of this forum.

No matter what they write to you (from USCIS), insist on Senator Cantwell.

I have had the same story (letters saying about the "combo" interview..blah..blah..both cases will be adjudicated at the same time...blah..blah.)

I think it was her phone call that pushed to the approval of GC.  Congrats!!!!!!!!!!

Hope we can have the exam on the same date!

Well, l followed your advise and sent a second inquiry to her. I didn't receive any answer the first time. But this second time l just asked for help regarding my I-751 and there we go.

I will let you know once l receive my Green Card.

Hi congrats on your approval. It seemed like Seattle combo filers are getting their I-751 approved before naturalization interview now

By the way. I really hope to get N-400 approved without an interview since I saw some one in this forum get their I-751 and N-400 approved together but apparently it's not the case for me.
