Was scheduled for my interview today at 1:15PM and just got a call that my appointment is cancelled and will be rescheduled. Did anyone else receive a call like this?

I had my interview scheduled for later this week and got an email around 10am today that it is cancelled and that USCIS will reach out if it will be rescheduled. Bummer

May I ask you if your interview is also for N400 in the afternoon?

I have an interview for I-751/N400 next Tuesday AM. So far I haven't received any notice about cancellation.

All in-person activities at USCIS paused until at least April 1st.

This really sucks. I'm lost. I was scheduled 3/10, and then rescheduled to 4/21, and then rescheduled to 3/24, and now my interview is going to be cancelled again. I have now received 5 mail letters from USCIS regarding the interview. I have a trip booked to go to Europe early July under my new name. I must have the US passport by then because I have changed my name earlier this year and my current passport of my home country is of my old name. I had a feeling that my newly rescheduled date might run into trouble, but it's still painful when it happens.

I just got an email that my biometric is scheduled for April 1st. I'm planning to show up, unless they notify me that they will reschedule it. I'll let you know if everything goes well.

Good luck! But with the current condition on COVID19 I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to keep the door shut until later.

According to our lawyer,  "our understanding is that while USCIS offices are closed to the public, USCIS is still processing cases. It’s great news that USCIS Seattle has updated its processing time report to reflect advancement.  It doesn’t mean your N-400 has been skipped over; it just means USCIS is processing cases received on or before the posted date."

So a ray of hope in these strange times.

Unfortunately I think it's kinda paused at this moment. While background checks and file processing might continue to go on. Interview lines will stack up, meaning people will end up waiting longer because Seattle office's biggest problem is that they don't have enough people to handle all the interviews. So most of applicants wait a long time before they get scheduled for their interviews. As for the processing time on USCIS website, honestly I still don't understand it and it just seems inaccurate for many of us.

My case is September 5, 2018. On March 23, l sent an inquiry. They answered me back today:

"On March 23, 2020, you contacted USCIS concerning your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time.  Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been resolved.

Your application is still pending interview scheduling.  We regret that we are not able to give you a time frame for when we will schedule your interview.

We hope this information is helpful and we appreciate your continued patience.

Please see the Online Services below to check the status of your case in the near future..."

My I-751 is also still pending since September 5, 2017. I also sent an inquiry but l have not received an answer yet.

Stay safe.
