Hey guys,

I am also from Washington,  specifically on the Eastside. I am following this thread. I filed for N-400 while I-751 is still pending.

Here is my info:

I-751:

Package received by USCIS on 12/31/2018.

Received my 18 months extension letter on 01/24/2019.

Received biometrics appointment letter on 4/30/2019

Case status updated to fingerprint review completed on 05/01/2019.

I have not heard anything since.

N400:

Filed online on 12/20/2019

Received NOA1 on 12/21/2019

Biometrics appointment letter on 12/28/2019

Completed a early walk-in for biometrics appointment on 01/02/2020

Case status updated to "your case is being actively reviewed" on 01/02/2020

My online estimated case completion is 13 months--02/2021

My online estimated wait time is 13 months

Questions:

How accurate is the estimated case completion time?

Will my interview likely happen in Yakima, WA(I live on the eastside)?

Does Yakima offer same day interview?

Thanks guys!!

We are on the same boat. Even dates of filing and fingerprint collection are pretty close and my estimated date is Feb 2021. I am having my fingerprint on 1/23/2020. I was wondering the same, how accurate is that estimated date? Besides have you guys heard of any combo filer (Seattle) that has completed the N400 within the anticipated time frame (currently I guess 16 to 19 months)?

I haven't heard anyone got a combo interview....I went through some posts in this thread. Several other combo filers have been waiting almost two years. Seattle's backlog is ridiculous. sigh..

Oh by the way,  you can do an early walk-in for your biometrics. I did an early walk-in with the receipt notice printed from the document tab online on 01/02/2020. No questions asked. in and out of the ASC under 30 minutes. Go early. My original biometrics date was 01/17/2020.

Thanks. I will see how my schedule is and will decide.

I am combo filer (I751, November 2017!!) and N-400, end of October 2018.

Still waiting for both cases, which will be adjudicated together.

My congressman asked about my cases and USCIS replied that once Seattle field office is ready for the interview (combo interview), they will request the National Benefit Center to forward both physical files (I-751 and N-400) to the Seattle Office. Thus, so far, I have waited for 14 months 21 days for the naturalization process, without having any news.

My estimated completion date (for N-400) was originally in December 2019 and all of a sudden, it changed to February 2020. These changes were done to ALL the members of this forum, no matter what, so it was a generalized backlog issue.

I haven't received any news regarding my new estimated completion date of February 2020.

Based on other combo filers timelines (excluding those that live outside Seattle metropolitan area), it has been taking approximately 16-17 months between N-400 filing and time of interview.

There are few examples in the forum of people who have been waiting approximately 19.5 months and still nothing.

A few combo filers finished earlier (14-15 months time frame) and they all did similar things such as contacting Congress people (our senator, for example), filing USCIS Ombudsman, calling Customer Service and asking to be served by a Tier-2 officer and making Infopass appointments. Hope this is helpful.

Thanks for the informative info here. Sounds like the waiting game and the extension stamps just started! I have added my timeline to Citizenship (N-400) Timelines forum: https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/citlist.php?op6=All&op7=Seattle+WA&op1=3&op2=&op4=1&op5=5%2C10%2C11&cfl=

But this is for all N-400 filers in Seattle office. Are you aware of a similar forum that is specific for I-751 and N-400 combo filers in Seattle?

I am not aware of a combo I751/N400 Seattle forum.

Combo filers also post their situations on other websites such as ***removed***.

What is this “case is being actively reviewed” that some of you are seeing on your case status? I filed September 30, 2029, biometrics done third week of October but nothing since then. No update online. No change from “we reviewed your biometrics”.

I’m not a combo filer so I’m wondering if that step is something exclusive to combo filers?

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Now a US citizen!

Not accurate. Timer ran out over a month ago. My estimated time of completion was Dec 2019 and then Jan 2020 and now Feb 2020. If you just filed last month for N400 I suggest you get off this forum and don't worry about it for the next at least 10 month. Don't hope it will get done before their eatimate for a combo filer. It's hopeless. Seriously don't waste your time on N400 yet it's way too early.

Just passed my N400 interview last Tuesday in Portland (Seattle filer)! July 2019 case filed.

It was a quick in and out. The downfall is that IO said that WA applicants who passed will have to take oath either in Seattle or Olympia and not in Portland anymore. So waiting game again for my oath schedule. But hey, the hard part is over.

Goodluck to all.

Hey Guys,

Just got my appointment scheduled today and I got the date for the appointment as well. It looks like seattle office is finally speeding up.

Filed online 1/30/2019

Bio 02/20/2019

Interview Scheduled 01/15/2020

Interview Date 02/19/2020

I got scheduled an 8:35 AM, so I guess I might get the same day oath?

Will update my interview experience once I am done.
