Not necessarily.  The report doesn’t say why there are applications pending.  There could be background checks that are being completed, there could be quite a few that had an interview but failed a portion of it, RFEs, who knows.  I do know that quite a few recent filers, my wife included, seem to be processing fairly quickly.

That may be because you had an old I-751 pending. Just guessing.

Possibly.  But that is my point, the report sheds no light on why there are so many pending.

my husband had filed in April 1st and had the biometric in April 25 and nothing had showed since then.

is that normal?

Welcome.  I am not sure if anyone can answer your question as it appears to be random.  Detroit does seem to be moving relatively quickly, but that might have something to do with the complexity of the case such as background checks, etc.  Does your husband also have a pending I751?

thank you for replying and no he does not have pending I-751, we had applied with an attorney so all the papers must be completed.

Hopefully you checked everything the attorney did before it was submitted.

Looks like you have been waiting for 6 months. I see some folks from Jan to Mar getting interview and approval in Detroit. Just strange. Difficult to predict anything.

Yes, They say they process in the order the received them, but I don't think that's always the case!

Has anyone noticed any trends as to when Detroit field office updates the batch of interview dates? @reddbear, I read your observation regarding last batch of updates being May 1st week or so. Did you or anyone notice when the previous to that  batch was updated? I am trying to see if there is a trend to it. Thank you🍉🌻🍏🙄

Nothing to report here either. I get the same  email about once a week, to tell me no updates at this time.
