what’s the capital city of Michigan?

who makes federal laws?

what is an amendment?

when was the constitution written?  

 

 

I would recommend going through the practice questions online at https://www.uscis.gov/citizenship/educators/educational-products/100-civics-questions-and-answers-mp3-audio-english-version

 

they will NOT ask questions outside those 100 questions listed. 

 

Also: Bear in mind that it is NOT multiple choices questions, you will have to remember the answers.

Thank you! Yes, I am all aware that the questions are different for each interview, and I have the booklet, two apps and my husband to practise with. I am generally good with this, but there are some questions that I just cannot seem to remember the answers to 🤪

The officer saw me alone and asked questions about why my husband wasn't here for the interview (why isn't he here?/where is he?/are you guys still married? etc.) before inviting me into the office. The whole conversation happened in the waiting area and I was worried that I might get turned back today. I told him I was there for the naturalization interview and they didn't ask for the presence of spouse for it. He looked at his file and told me we might have a problem. He invited me into his office and then explained to me that technically he couldn't do anything today until the ROC was approved.

Long story short, he went to check with his supervisor and I had to wait in the office for like 15 mins before he came back saying he will do a combo interview for me today.

So the moral of the story is that if there is an I751 pending and the N400 is scheduled for an interview, it is best to bring along the spouse just in case.  Based on what you relayed, the IO did both interviews even though your spouse wasn't present, I have heard of that happening, but I have also heard when the IO requested the spouse be contacted and come to the office.  My wife's experienced something similar, no notice of the status of the I751, and the N400 was scheduled for the interview, so I went with her and sure enough, a combo interview was conducted.

This morning checked USCIS (which is ritual for me) but for some reason, I went directly to USCIS instead of my emails first and found that my interview has been scheduled.  I received no email just like when my Biometrics was rescheduled. Very happy that I can get back to my normal self and not get so annoyed.

Got my notification that I have and Interview on 4th June 2019 they can't of been able to fit me in at Detroit (who knows) so they are sending me to Cleveland Ohio. Never been to Cleveland.

Received my Oath Ceremony Notice!!! May 16th, it's coming up sooner than I thought!

I passed my interview on Tuesday and it's a combo interview due to my pending I 751. My online case status changes to oath ceremony will be scheduled (estimated waiting time is 5 months).  I live in the Upper Peninsula, which typically only have two oath ceremonies per year. I was wondering if anybody has the experience or knowledge about the schedule of oath ceremony in UP.

I did a google search for Naturalisations in my area... see if that can help you .. I found out that Cleveland has an itinerary posted online  and they do theirs every Friday.. but seeing that is 2hrs away from me I will ring my local downtown Court next week.

You mentioned you applied late in February? Would you mind sharing when? We also applied late in February and haven't gotten a notice for interview yet. We did get the I-751 approval on May 1st so now anxious to get through the next step! Thanks.
