@Celiaram   When did your husband have his interview?   Mine was on February 28th.  I still haven't heard anything yet.  But, they did tell me in my interview that it might take a little longer for me, because my Oath Ceremony will be here on the west side of the state.

@Disyalam  Yes, I am also waiting for my Oath Ceremony to be scheduled.  I've only been waiting 2 weeks though. But, hope it doesn't take 6 weeks or longer for me.  They told me in my interview that it takes longer to schedule an Oath Ceremony for people who live west of Detroit.  I live over in Battle Creek in the southwest/south central part of the state. I'm guessing my Oath Ceremony will likely be in Kalamazoo.

Hi, Have you made a phone call to USCIS  to see if they can give you any information?

Yes, I called USCIS and the custom service just told me that I'm within the normal processing time and wait.

@Celiaram    I know they want YOU to dress nice but, I don't think they're too concerned about your kids. If you can, I'd just dress them in a nice shirt and pants or dress. As a reference, I'd say dress them as if you're taking them to church or their first day of school.

Hi there,

I have not heard anything..it has been more than 2 months now T^T

I think if you live in south west part of Michigan it will be in Grand Rapids. The officer who interview me also told me that I will be attending ceremony in Grand Rapids as I live in Lansing.

Anyway, keep us posted! Some folks here also mentioned that if you have not heard anything back 120 days since your interview date you can actually file a complain against USCIS in federal district court. Just some info that might helpful ;)

@Disyalam   I was told that a computer selects from hundreds of people to schedule the Oath Ceremony and uses your home address to select where it will be. The plant manager where I work is an immigrant and he said his Oath Ceremony was in Kalamazoo at a college there. He lives in Portage, MI just south of Kalamazoo. I was also told by the officer that interviewed me, that it takes longer for people on the west side of the state, because less people immigrate to this side of the state. I am thinking the computer selects and gathers a bunch of people for a specific area before it sends out the Oath Ceremony notices. But, I was also told it could be a small ceremony, in front of a judge. So, who is to say exactly how it works and how long it takes. I know I'm kinda mad, because right now I have vacation hours saved up at my work, that I need to use before the end of March. So, I was hoping to have my ceremony before the end of this month. But, since I haven't even been scheduled yet, it's sadly looking more and more like I won't have my Oath Ceremony till April maybe. I certainly hope it doesn't take any longer than that. Otherwise I will be contacting them. I still have the sheet of paper that I got from the officer in my interview and it has her name on it. And, it says to contact them if you have any questions.   I still think you should be able to select where you have your ceremony. I told the officer in my interview, that I would be willing to drive 2 or 3 hours in any direction to have the soonest Oath Ceremony. That's when she told me it's a computer that selects you from a list of hundreds that are waiting in line for scheduling according to where they live.  So, not much we can do but, play the waiting game.

Yeah...I feel the same way about the frustration. I have all of this huge plan and 2 months rolling...no news. Waiting game does indeed sucks 😭
