New Process in Dakar Senegal

Just a heads up!!! On top of Dakar being a difficult Embassy, please be advised that even if you make it through and get approved. They are now giving Muslims which is 90% of the population in Senegal and The Gambia the new Form Trump started last year the DS-5535 that furthers your Administrative Processing and asks all types of questions like phone numbers, e-mails, and Social Media accounts for the last 5 years, some questions require information for the last 15 years as part of an extra vetting process to combat Terrorism. So add that to your list of frustrations and wait time. Some people were given the form immediately and some were emailed the form. 

 

Although websites indicate, only MENA countries or .5% will be affected by the “extra vetting” there was many that had received that form or was returning that form when he returned his. So much for the .5%, when almost half the room had them.

I understand the need for it in some areas. Just be prepared to receive the form, in fact you can look it up and begin filling it out if you are going through Dakar. It asks for a lot of information. Good luck in your process.
