renewal of philippine passport

hello.

 

i am planning on going to Washington Dc next month to renew my philippine passport. when i applied for 2 year GC, i didn't change my Last name. now my 10 year GC is on the process so i changed my last name to my husband's name. is it ok to change my last name to my passport even though i still dont have my 10 year GC? 

 

also i am planning to do the report of marriage and the report of birth of my child while i am there.

 

any tips would be appreciated.

Yes it is ok to change your name even if you don't have your 10 year greencard na. My wife changed her name like a month after we got married and there was no issues at all.
