Hello all,

I asked this question in the general thread and was advised to come to the 'straya sub-forum, so here I am

My question is that I am petitioning my Fiance to come to California from Melbourne.

Due to finishing up school last year and only working part time during it, I didn't make the minimum financial requirements during the 2017 tax year.

With my current job, however, I do make enough money. Will it be necessary to have someone cosign for us, even though I make enough money now?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

You should prepare to be asked for a co-sponsor.  You can take documentation that shows that you now make enough money, but it would be beneficial if you have a co-sponsor lined up already.  It really depends on who is looking at your file, and whether your current job is deemed "stable" enough.

Best of luck.
