Getting PSA Documents From the USA?

Why can't the PSA issue PSA documents without first filing a report with the Philippine Consulate abroad? They never required that in the past. I don't understand why they need it now.

Because you're dealing with a foreign government. If you want the Philippine government to issue you a document, their rules apply. Asking why for everything won't get you very far.

Wait, does something need to be filed with a foreign government too? Holy shoot. Duterte is not fixing things!

So basically, NO ONE can get copies of their PSA documents anymore? What is the point of them existing then?

You are jumping off the cliff here.   ONLY those that did ROM or ROB through the consulate in the USA need to have the file # or such for ordering a copy.   All birth certificates & marriages in the Philippines plus CENOMAR do not need all those "extras" to order through e-census

But ecensus will not allow you to order from abroad until you file a report with the philippines consulate abroad. But you can't do that, unless you have the documents from ecensus! It is an impossible situation!

Really?  That makes no sense.   I believe that would only hold true if your originating documents were from a foreign country.

Jumped onto e-census and went through the ordering process for a birth certificate from the USA, asked for nothing from a consulate abroad.

The ordering process was the same as when I ordered birth certificates and marriage certificates when I was in the Phils ...   ;)

I saw on the website that come 1 June there will be a new website, and I am hoping the CC payment issue will be fixed.

The CC payment is locked until you file your marriage and birth at the consulate so you can get the despatch number. But you need copies of the documents that you are ordering, to report it to the consulate, so they can authorize you to order the documents you need for the consulate! Ugh!

CC payment system doesn't work no matter .. broken.   New website/system coming 1 June.

And as stated earlier -  " I believe that would only hold true if your originating documents were from a foreign country. "

The " Batch Request Number or Request Reference Number  " is received from e-census after you submit your request for documents ..

No. The other user was saying the CC payment is locked until you get the consulate to release it.

Nope .. CC system is kaput!!   States so right on the front page of the e-census website.   They say "temporarily" but it is going on two years of "temporary"

Advisory: Payment via credit card is temporarily unavailable and rest assured that we are working for the resolution. You may opt to pay via Banco De Oro's subsidiary offices and remittance partners that offer the Kabayan Bills Bayad. For updated list of offices/ remittance partners, please visit BDO's website at www.bdo.com.ph. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this situation.

Also their email system is broken, they state that on the website also.   Nothing seems to work on e-census if you are not in the Phils.

ANNOUNCEMENT

Please be advised that the e-Census email system is currently down so our reply may be delayed. We are working to resolve the problem. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.

Hopefully with the new website coming in June CC will once again work, along with everything else.   Only taking them 2 years to hopefully get it fixed.
