Thanks all for sharing your experiences/support. We are just going to get ready for an interview and are going to look at stokes questions just to make sure we are prepared!

Hello Missileman and Everyone, 

Just wanted to let you all know and give you an update. The paper was in fact an interview notice for AOS and we were verbally accepted by the immigration officer! We still are blown away by how quickly the process went for us being that we waited for so long for K1.

Registered Nurse- Retired- I practiced in the areas of Labor & Delivery, Home Health, Adolescent Psych, & Adult Psych.

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Thank you! I have a theory: the immigration officer we had was in from MA, I think that since WI seems backed up taking 5 - 13 months to approve AOS that they are pulling officers from different more slower offices to help with the backup. Which is maybe why we got an interview notice not a NOA interview notice and we received it just 2 weeks before the interview it was sent out 3/15 and our interview was today.
