Interview Letter or Something Else? What is this letter?

Today my husband received in the mail a letter that states the following:

 

"Please come to the shown below at the time and place indicated in connection with an official matter.
Office Location : XXXXX

Date and Hour: XXXX ISO #1

Ask for: Please check in at the Interviews - Reception Check-in window located on the second floor.

Reason for appointment: Pertaining to your I-485 Adjustment of Status Application

Bring with you: This notice, photo identification, your passport and entry documents, your birth certificate, marriage certificate (if applicable) and an interpreter (if needed). 

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU KEEP THIS APPOINTMENT AND BRING THIS LETTER WITH YOU.

If your eligibility is based on marriage, your husband or wife must attend the interview with you.

PLEASE BRING AN INTERPRETER IF APPLICABLE

 

ATTORNEY/REPRESENTATIVE:

if you are unable to do so, state your reason, sign below and return this letter to the office at once."

Is this an interview notice or is this something else? I am just confused because VJ says that the average time for Milwaukee interviews would take us into July and USCIS processing time says they are working on AOS from March 16, 2017.

I saw something on stokes interview however the pages I saw said that that typically happens after the initial interview or does that happen as the initial interview?

I doubt it is a Stokes interview.  Typically the letter identifies itself as being performed by the Stokes Unit

I don't know......except that when I googled " "Please come to the shown below at the time and place indicated in connection with an official matter. ".......it resulted in a number of attorneys who thought it was a Stokes....

 

If were I, I would avail myself of a free attorney consultation.......

The Stokes interview is a secondary interview conducted on a couple who are trying to obtain an immigration green card in the United States on the basis of their marriage. It occurs when the immigration officer conducting the adjustment of status interview suspects that a couple's marital status is fraudulent. The Stokes interview is offered as a second chance for the couple to prove their marriage's legitimacy.

Maybe we just got lucky? 

We were not lucky during our k1 visa.

Our stokes was the initial interview and the interview letter contained no hint to a stokes.

How is it you have a Stokes interview before a visa was even issued?

Not sure what you mean. My now husband of over 3 years received a visa and we filed for AOS. We received an interview letter and had a stokes
at the field office. One hour each and also together. We then had a home visit and were approved, the entire AOS took 2.5 years. 

We also had a stokes before he received a visa right after the interview and the CO asked me (I am the petitioner) a few questions
on the phone.
CO was satisfied and issued the visa.

Were you told the interview 4 hours after after the K-1 interview was a Stokes or did you just assume?

COs aren't always saying this is a stokes interview. Nor do IO's for AOS. When both are interviewed separately then in my opinion it is deemed a stokes. No the CO did not say that it was. They weren't convinced so they did the stokes

to rule out fraud in both cases and then approved.
