Medical Sputum Test - Petition Expiry

Hello,

 

I have not been able to find and definitive answer to this question: Our NOA2 advises our petition expires  5/3/18. We just got bad news that she needs to go for Sputum test which will set us back 2 months.  Consulate interview for 3/23 was automatically canceled. It appears our petition will expire before we complete the process.

 

On a side-note: Can we get a second opinion on the X-ray? There is much discussion that the approved medical centers are overly cautious.

The petition should be auto renewed by the embassy because you have taken action on it, such as medical and interview scheduled. It just will be delayed obviously.

 

As to a second opinion/x-ray, not entirely sure; but I would rather people be overly cautious and make sure everything is good instead of just turning a blind eye to a potential health issue.
