Hi,

Ive got a friend whos going through AOS, its been 2 years since I have done it and im not sure of the answer, so im gonna ask you guys.

Entered on a K1.. filed for AOS....has to go for fingerprinting..... then what,

when does the FBI name check come into play in all of this, will he get his interview before or after the fbi + backgroudnd check.

Can I assume that if and when he gets issued with his I-551 then he will have passed the fbi checks?

Again its ages since i did this and I cant remember the details.

Filed: Timeline

After fingerprinting he has to wait for the interview.... during this time the FBI checks are done.... they may be completed by the time the interview come up but some are not and those people can wait anything from a few weeks after the interview to years to get AOS approval.....

Kez
