Hello Everyone!

So I have a question relating CR-1/I751 Remove Conditions (Request of Evidence)

So Long story short, I filed form I751 after for 2 year greencard expiration, then got notification letter, and then got 1 year extension etc. Everything Good So far,

Last week I received a letter saying that all the documents I submitted are well and good besides not sharing proper financial responsibility (just to inform u, we do file tax together, have insurance together, etc, but the Bank statement/summary doesn't have must of the transactions by my wife, (in our culture usually wife stays home, and men takes all financial responsibility), Now my question,  with all updated documents like tax, insurance, new home lease etc, can i write a letter to explain why my wife didn't use our bank account to much) or why I use bank most of the time, I hope u understand what im trying to say

Thanks in Advance

Join bank account, join auto loan..

We do have a Joint account but not much transaction were made on that account and most of the utility bills were on my name. So they obligated that why she didn't played role in taking financial responsibility. (All other legal stuff like tax and insurance etc are together). I want to know now when I send them new documents like new tax transcript of 2017, 1095A Insurance paper, pictures of visit, itenery etc, I want to know should I write them a letter explaining why my wife didn't use much of the account/or why not much of the transaction occured on account, and (in our culture men takes most of the responsibility of home, so following that argument, i want to write a letter explaining everything, but wanna make sure CAN I, thats what i'm trying to get help on this forum.

Thanks a lot for yall help

That is the problem you used just your account. You need to start using the joint account and you need to allow your wife to use her card.

Makes me think of a similar question about my situation.  We just submitted I-751, but we showed a years worth of transactions on our joint account.  Only issue is that the deposits don't show who made them as we just put the majority of our checks in that account on paydays.  Also the withdraws don't show which card was used to buy which things (we each have our own card), only shows that withdraws were made from the account and to which stores they went to.  Is it an issue I should be worried about in a year or so when they get around to our packet?  We have proof of other purchases together including a house, multiple cars, joint taxes for three years, etc.  Everything with both our names on it.

That not a problem. I think as long you deposit and spend money on the join account every month that will be fine. About the account it will not show who make the purchase or withdraws.

Your situation is completely different because you guys are using the joint account. OP was not using a joint account he was using his private account to take care of the house. In essence it shows USCIS that he and his wife have no comingled their finances.

You and your spouse uses your joint account to take care of the house which shows that you guys have comingled finances.

You look fine to me that you have everything joint together.

Does your wifey buys cosmetics, skincares etc? Such as Sephora, Ulta bills purchased with your card, her card or any joint or her accounts that showed both addresses?

I submitted those too, and does she buy you gifts? I submitted some pictures of gifts that I bought to in laws, my husband and gift receipts, groceries receipts, such stuffs mailed to my home.
Maybe that will help somewhat?
