If these were pictures during any kind of ceremony, I would omit them.  It really does happen that engaged couples are considered already marrried or "too married for a K-1, but not married enough for a CR-1".......I know it sounds strange, but it has happened.........

My advice:  Keep it simple, straight forward, and legal..

I think I will not include them, just to be safe !

That might be wise.  Besides, you really don't need but very few pictures.  There are other pieces of quality evidence that are as good and better than more pictures.

Uh, I'm so upset now! I thought these were solid proof that he really is my fiance since he proposed. Just to confirm, you are talking about people being denied because they showed their engagement photos right, not wedding photos?

We were at someone else’s wedding, husband in a suit I was wearing a blouse I wear to work so dressed up but definitely not a wedding dress and they still questioned if it was us getting married years before we actually did.

Now I'm getting a little nervous, since we included a picture of the two of us at a friend's wedding. The bride and groom were in the picture with us, and we were just in simple semi-formal clothes. It's pretty obvious in the picture that it wasn't us getting married, and we included captions alongside each of our photos explaining the context, so hopefully it won't be a problem.

I'm still working on my proof, and I first had the same pictures included. We were at a wedding, both wearing formal clothes...but after someone here told me that this can be questioned, I just removed them. Although, I included a picture where we were with the bride and groom. I think you will be fine though, don't worry !

Thank you for the reassurance! Yeah, the more I think about it, it would be really petty to deny us for being "too married" because we attended a wedding that is objectively not our own.

Might be "petty" but it has been known to happen.  Not necessarily on the petition side but more as it relates to the visa application

Nothing can be done about it really if it does happen. Denials for this cause usually comes at the interview stage, we'll just have to be prepared to explain that if it is brought up. We have invitation cards to the wedding and everything. Besides, of all the denials over "too married" that I've seen, none have been over a photograph where the real bride and groom are in the photo with the petitioner and beneficiary. That is a difficult leap to make, even for a determined CO.
