the cc guy was legal. the shooter was not.

It’s not a mass shooting because the shooter was stopped.  Might have been posted before, but you asked me to provide examples, so I shall do so as they come to my attention.  Hopefully, there will be as many of these per year as mass shootings, but alas, I don’t think that will be the case. :(

I'm not disagreeing with you that this had the potential to be a mass shooting. However,

 

I do think there is a difference between mass shooting events that are premeditated and planned, as opposed to this which from what I read sounded like someone got angry and suddenly went nuts.

 

I say I think there is a difference because I think how to prevent the two types may be different.
