Sounds like it's part of your fashion statement.

Do you have different guns for different outfits? Perhaps matching colours?

I try to match my belt and my shoes. If I go brown with one, I go brown with the other. Would I need a brown gun as well? I guess gray can strike a balance between brown and black.

custom grips is the answer, this pair "goes with my snakeskin jacket! And for me it's a symbol of my individuality, and my belief... in personal freedom."

Lordy.

the question was to Cyber and I've already said I don't understand gun culture.

Apologies.  I assumed (apparently wrongly) that it was more of the usual drama.

To add to what he said, I have lived in states with concealed carry and open carry, and states where a CCW permit was not requires; anyone can carry open or concealed.  I was not carrying, but often saw people carrying, both open and concealed.  It really is no big deal.  As I said above, I prefer the concept of concealed; there is no good reason to announce to the public that you have a gun, IMHO.  I prefer that people WONDER if I do, I think that is a bigger deterrent.  In AK, where anyone can carry a gun without a permit, you just assumed that everyone has a gun.  Makes it simpler.

Do yourself a favor and go to a local gun store sometime.  Just walk in and browse.  You’ll see guns on the hips of all the staff, and they are some of the nicest folks you could hope to meet.  Friendly, helpful, and hopefully knowledgeable.  I promise they won’t bite.  Nor wil they shoot you.  Just like you haven’t been shot by the hundreds of people you pass in daily life who had no need to pull out their concealed weapon.

Thanks for the apologies. As for the rest, hard pass. Fortunately I don't live in a place where hundreds of people I pass are carrying a concealed weapon. It's fantastic.

Same thing here. You can still be IT and be a well prepared individual.

So do you carry at all times? Even at work?

I work on a military base and firearms aren't allowed on base unfortunately.

Yes because all those concealed guns are just waiting to jump out of the pockets and purses they are in and shoot you all by themselves right?

Didn't see the earlier dialogue.  Thought you were in NYC.  When did you move to the Land of the Rising Sun?

And therein lies the root of all lack of understanding.  Happens to me daily, and I have zero paranoia.

You are misunderstood daily??? Don't understand this statement.
