I am curious where everyone is at in the I-485 process. When did you file, and where are you at now?

filed AOS from K-1 visa :  July 22, 2017

current status: EAD/AP combo card:  October 14, 2017.

case says: as of October 18, 2017, we are ready to schedule your case for an interview.

In other words, we are in processing limbo. Yay. Where are you?

We are planning on leaving the country in July. I was hoping our case would process through by then, but it looks like we may have to use the AP card - makes me nervous!

Well, I filed on March 1, 2018. Just received my hardcopy NOA1s yesterday  Not as far along as others but I'm glad that I at least have the NOA1s and they cashed out check.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

I will chime in about AP.  My wife had the combo card for just a few months before she received the two year green card.  We were flying to Mexico City and the airline ticket agent at the Atlanta airport airline check in desk had no idea what a combo card is and almost did not allow her to check in.  I had to educate her about the combo card and AP.  She called someone and finally allowed my wife to check in (thank goodness we arrived three hours before the flight!).  It was a lack on the employee's knowledge and their system where they enter data.  I would suggest to call ahead with your airline well before you fly to confirm they fully understand about the combo card and AP.  Get a person's name and phone number you talk to and confirm if there is any problem with check in the ticket agent can call that person or department.  The same thing holds true for your flight back.  I had the airline station manager's name and phone number from the Mexico City airport just in case we ran into trouble on our flight back to Atlanta.  Mind you we had zero problems when we landed back in Atlanta and moving through passport control and customs.  Hey you are only out a phone call and some of your time for peace of mind.

just my two cents

God bless

John
