Has anyone used a e-ticket for travel to the Philippines? I'm just wondering if it would be alright.

I used an e-ticket on Philippines Airlines when I visited the Phililippines, and again I bought an e-ticket for my wife when she flew to the US. I just printed the confirming e-mail for the ticket I bought online, and presented that at both SFO and MNL, along with my ID and the credit card used to buy the ticket.

The wife had some problems at MNL, however. If you buy the e-ticket with a credit card, and are not accompaning the person whose name appears on the ticket, they will not be able to board the plane without a photocopy of the ID for the person who bought the ticket, and a photocopy of the front of the credit card used to buy the ticket. I had blacked out some of the numbers on the photocopy of the credit card, and they did not like that. I had to fax a copy of my credit card statement to her at the airport, and she showed that to them, before they reluctantly let her bride her way aboard the plane.

That restriction applies to Philippines Airlines, and restrictions may be different for other airlines.

Hokey Smoke!

Rocky: "Baby, are they still mad at us on VJ?"

Bullwinkle: "No, they are just confused."
