That's kinda what happened to me, they received it February 13, 2018 and it passed 4 weeks and then out of nowhere they don't have my case anymore. But I'm sure yours is okay, they are saying that is taking 8 weeks to get a case number now which is still crazy when some people get their case number within 2 weeks. I just feel like they are lazy!!!

I dont think anyone getting their case number within 2 weeks recently. I just hope what Shexy said is true, so you will get your case number soon. Mine was on the 15th, 2 days after yours.

I said so because the same thing happened to me... NVC received my case on the 6th Feb and since that day I kept calling twice a day for a case number and all I got was to wait for 8 weeks... suddenly on the 1st of March i called at night and I was told they couldn't find my USCIS receipt number with them which I have been using for the last 3 weeks whenever I called them. I was confused also but on the 2nd I decided to call again and spoke to a lady, she starting my asking me question about the petitioner name and beneficiary name and date of birth after that she gave me my case number...

Hope yours will be the same
