NVC not receiving my petition

Can someone please help me and tell me if any of you have been in this situation. My petition has been approved on January 16, 2018. NVC received it Feb 13. I have been calling everyday and kept getting the same message that they received it on Feb 13 but don't have an NVC number yet. But this morning when I called an agent told me that my petition is not even received and that they can't find it anywhere . I called again and gave them my receipt number (USCIS) and was told the same thing again that my petition has not ever been received by NVC. But before this I called everyday and was told that my petition has been received on February 13, 2018 and I even have an email from NVC stating that . Can someone please help me and tell me that somehow this is a mistake by NVC and that they did not lose my petition. I am seriously going crazy and don't know what to do anymore. :(

well first off, I can tell you that they are giving a timeline now of 8 weeks from the time they received it, if it was sent to DOS it can take time for them to scan it in to the system.

I got approved 1-17 it took hellbraska till 2-1 to send it to NVC and then another 7 days for them to scan it as received, and then another almost 4 weeks to get a case #

I am sure they have it, just be patient I know it sucks to be away from our spouse but you will get it soon.

it also depends on if your a mail in case, or a pivot case, pivot cases are taking like 8-11 weeks for case #

Mine is a mail in case. I understand that it is taking longer to get a case number but what I am worried about is them saying that they never received my case when they actually received it feb 13. I've been calling everyday and every agent told me yes we received it but we don't have a NVC number yet and this morning 2 agents told me that my case was NEVER received . I am just worried if they maybe lost my case or deleted it .

in my experience I had someone similar happen, when you call in what options do you choose? 1 then 3? I have also found that some agents are much newer than others and have no idea, and some just don't want to take the time to look deeper, so they tell you what they think will make you get off the phone faster.

I am sure that you have nothing to worry about, and I would recommend calling them again in about 7 hours, that is when things start to slow down and you can get a seasoned agent on the phone, and ask them to look deeper into the account.

hang tough.

I call and press 1 then 7. Should I press 3 instead of 7.?

You will get your case number soon... NVC has already input your case into the system giving you a new case number and leaving USCIS receipt number... it happened to me for few days before I received my case number... So don't panic I believe everything is fine with your case and they have it.

Keep us updated

That's kinda what happened to me, they received it February 13, 2018 and it passed 4 weeks and then out of nowhere they don't have my case anymore. But I'm sure yours is okay, they are saying that is taking 8 weeks to get a case number now which is still crazy when some people get their case number within 2 weeks. I just feel like they are lazy!!!
