hey guys, i had the interview last week in Abu dhabi and got my visa on had just yesterday.   best of luck everyone..

Hello.. everything went well on my interview. The CO who interviewed me was really nice and has a big smile on her face when I enter the private room. I am now waiting for my passport.

no, you have to wait for packet 3 before booking anything, otherwise you run the risk of wasting your appointment. i can't say if waiting one month is enough though.

Even the same is the case with me. Got NVC  no on 10th of march through an email to petitioner. and case status in Transit .. Should we fill up DS 160 now or wait for the packet 3?

Our case still says "In transit' its been 6 days now... should I contact Embassy or NVC? or were still within time frame

 

how can I get hold with the Embassy in Abu dhabi ? I've tried CC doesn't help... thinking of sending them an email as I've read some here done that

Dubai doesn't process k1.. only Abu Dhabi - once your case is in NVC they will give you case number that starts with ABD which stands for Abu Dhabi..

Just like everyone is saying wait for the Packet 3... for how many days does your case been "In transit"?

6 days is still early, give it a little more time. mine took 8 days to transit, before it changed to ready (and it got stuck at ready, as i mentioned in my previous post lol).

our case status just changed to READY . :D will start doing ds160 - what actions did you at this stage during your time?

@doggieandsam question... when i checked our case in ceac before it does mention our case number only ... now it changed to ready it says case number 01 ABD 

 

what does it mean?

what does it mean?

that's normal, it just means there is only a main applicant (you). if you have a derivative (ie a dependent like a minor son or daughter who is immigrating with you) then it will show up there as 02, 03 etc.
