My interview was last tuesday, 26th of June. I arrived at the embassy around 7:15 and sit on the bench  where it say Non immigrant. They allowed us to get in around 7:30, tbey checked my ds 160 and passport. Cellphones are not allowed but you can leave it to the guards in upon entry and the gave me a number.  After an hour I was called.to a window and the lady there was kinda strict. She asked for all my documents so I gave it to her. She asked if I get married before and I said no. She took my certificate of no marriage, nbi,police clearance,birth certificate and my fiance's bank statement. She returned the tax forms and my fiance's birth certificate.

After 30 minutes I was called for my fingerprint. They prioritize the fiance visa with this coz they asked me to skip the line and go infront.

 

After 15 to 30 minutes my number was called and asked to go to a private room.

She was really nice and smiling when I entered the room. She even ask how am I doin then I sat down.

 

Question time

Whats my name?

Whats my fiance's name?

Whats my fiances job

How long ive been here i. UaE

What is my job?

What do we usually fight abou

What are my wedding plans?

How do we communicate?

Then after she asked if I have evidence that we communicate so I showed her  3 thick books of the screenshots of our messenger, whatsapp, viber, txt messages and skype calls conversation and thats it.

She gave me a paper saying what are my rights when i come to US the gave me a white paper saying congratulation. The lady was really nice.. she was so calm and always smiling. That helps a lot to have more confidence during the entire interview.

She didnt ask for photos and other evidence.

Was able to book an appointment but it will be weeks from now. It’s very hard to get slots for the k1 category. It seems that only 1 k1 applicant is allowed to book per day. 😔

When I had my interview were only 3 fiance visa that theyre processing that day.

Really? Me and my online found friends really thought that there’s only one slot per day allotted for the k1 category. It is good to know that more than 1 k1 applicant can book on the same day.

Aw some! I just hope my NVC process isn’t 3 months but at the same time it is what it is right?! Lol

It varies to be honest with you. It may be a long wait for me but maybe (hopefully) it will be a different case for you.

Mine took 7 months.. you just need to have patience when it comes to waiting. Hope yours will be different.

I already booked my interview schedule and im currently waiting for the packet 3. i tried emailing them but they replied with this: 

 

 

We have received your case electronically form NVC but unfortunately there is no space available for local scheduling. As soon as there is space we will contact you and send you the information about how to proceed with your case.

 

 

im really confused because i already have booked an appointment. Did anybody experienced this before?

Hello everyone! Was wondering if anyone is active on here waiting for their packet 3/interview at UAE embassy for k1....

 

we recebtky received RFE and are awaiting for that approval but I’m trying to see about how long it’s taking the embassy from NVC to send packet 3 and schedule interview....I know previously it was 3-6 months which is ridiculous and if it’s still this way considering changing our embassy...any thoughts about this would be greatly appreciated!
