Hello nguard,

I am in the National Guard and enlisted in Aug 2017. My RSP has told me a lot of different things . SSG was changed and the new one asked me to come to the drills after 8 months. I told him that I need to pass background check and after that come to the drills, but he said you are in the RSP not in the FFP.

Are you going to the drills?

Yes. I’ve been to RSP drills since I enlisted in aug ‘17.

Idk what you mean. You always have to go to the MEPs to enlist.

All LPR soldiers who had already enlisted in the Army, Air Force, .. must go back to the MEPS for signing a new contract after DOD shows a green light for them.

I wanted to know that  should the Army national guard LPR soldiers need to go the MEPS or not?

My SSG said only LPR soldiers who enlisted after Oct 2018 should back to the MEPS.

I didn’t know and my recruiter or any NCO didn’t tell me anything like that. And I enlisted in August 2017.

Hey guys,

I am in the process of joining the Navy Reserves. This whole new DOD policy about the background checks suck. Anyone in the Navy Reserves currently having to deal with this? The way it’s going, I don’t see myself in basic training until maybe the end of next year.

By the way, I haven’t signed the contract or anything. I am still waiting to get the ok from the Navy doctors about a surgery I had for a broken arm.

Another update. The DOD has appealed the judge’s injunction. They have filed a motion to keep the policy in place until a decision is made.
