Whoever had their I-129F sent to California Service Center, how long did it take for your case to be processed ? When I looked at the processing times today, it currently shows 4 months, I don't think it's that bad as of now, but I want to know if anyone had their petition approved faster than that.

Thank you in advance !

All k1 petitions go to California service center. a transfer may occur from California to Vermont in rare cases (usually awa or domestic violence etc. past of the petitioner)

Oh wow, thanks ! When I first tried to figure out what my service center is, I used the official website, which asked for my zip code, and it showed that my service center was Vermont. I do see that California's processing time for K1 is 4 months as well, that's a bit comforting!

I will change my question now, haha!

You are asking almost the same question everywhere. However you already got a good answer when you first asked. The answer is not really a flex answer.

waiting times at the moment are 6-7 months. It can be longer because each case is different. However times are improving so it can get shorther by the time you get it.

Zip code system does not work on k1 cases.

Processing time for california is at least 6 months. They are just doing - August - September  cases and some people in June and July also waiting.

As @Naes says, please dont ask the same question many times.  The real answer will always be the same.

Please fill in your timeline and we will all have a better understanding as to where you are in the process.  You can join the thread of the month that you got you NOA1 and track things much better there.

Naes is right on.  My NOA2 took over 9 months and some are here waiting over 10 months.  Things are moving much better now but 6 to 7 months for NOA2 is a great starting point.  4 is a pipe dream I'm afraid.  Expect the entire journey to POE to be 9 to 12 months.

I only asked 3 questions, including this one, and they are all different.

Thanks for you reply though, it was helpful.

Hey everyone,

I will be applying for a I-129 F very soon and have been doing a lot of research. My fiance is in Ukraine right now, and I was wondering if anyone had experience dealing with the US Embassy there or knows how long it will take for the paperwork to reach the US Embassy there, if everything here is approved.

- Can you guys tell me how long it took your K1 visa to be approved from start to finish?

- How long was your processing time?

- When is the earliest time my fiance in Ukraine can schedule an interview? Is it after the paperwork reaches the NVC ?

- Is there anything you did that made the process a little faster ?

Any answers are greatly appreciated ! Thank you to everyone in advance !

You got the answer to processing times with this.

those were as good as any answer you'll get.

When I asked that question, I didn't know that every case gets sent to California service center, as you mentioned above. I though each case gets sent to a service center that's assigned to the zip code where the person lives, so I wanted to see the processing times people had at different service centers.

This is why i asked this separate question, where I first mentioned Vermont , because I wanted to see the processing times for this specific service center, since I though that that's where my case would be sent. But, you told me the zip code system doesn't work for k1 visas, so now I know.

9 to 12 months to POE

- How long was your processing time?

9 months and 7 days to NOA2.  We are still in the NVC phase

- When is the earliest time my fiance in Ukraine can schedule an interview? Is it after the paperwork reaches the NVC ?

I believe NVC sets up the interview in the Ukraine.  That will be done after NVC sends the paperwork to the Embassy.  Different Embassies have different rules for this.

- Is there anything you did that made the process a little faster ?

If you are eligible for an expedite you can file for one.  They are rare and require active military deployment or proof of serious financial burden.  Other than that you will just have to wait for USCIS to complete their normal process.

These are good questions but they have all been answered.  If you just want a better answer because you dont like these you are in the wrong place.  We are all waiting or have waited for this nasty process to end.  We are all here to help but you will have to trust us.

You do not decide where the petition goes.  If it goes to Vermont, your wait will be considerably longer due to criminal background.

Thank you :)

You are very welcome.  There are times that this process will completely stress you out.  Stay focused on your partner and your love.  This is not meant to be quick or easy.  Smile and make sure all the paperwork is correct.  Have all the required back up and make sure every checkmark is complete and correct.  That is the best way to make this as quick as possible.

Please fill out and correct your timeline.  That way we will know where you are at.
