I agree but I will leave it to the professionals (immigration lawyers) to determine. Thanks for all your responses.

I'm in sort of a similar situation. Currently in US on L1 visa (not H1).

Visa to expire in april

filed for AOS/EAD etc etc in december 2017, nothing yet, expedite requests arent helping.

Employer about to file for l1 extension just so i can remain employed.

The immigration lawyer said filing for this l1 extension should not affect my other applications.
