Passport delivery

Hi,

when the passport/package is delivered by the courier, does it have to be signed for by me, or can someone else sign for it? 

I'm trying to plan a few things that involve going away for a few nights and although my status has been changed to 'issues' , I don't know yet when it will be delivered.

That depends on the courier. Usually all it does is require A signature. Not necessarily yours.

Typical scenario for UK

Issued>(2 days)>email from courier> delivery following business day

 

Someone can sign for you. Leave ID with them, or a credit card showing your name, or a bill in your name for that house. A lot of times they don't even ask for ID, but they are supposed to.
