Hi guys!

Married to a GC. Category F2A. PD Feb 2018. So Feb 2018 is the date I filed my I-130. Recently my PD became current and I filed for Adjustment of Status (I-485) in June 2019. I think my Field Office is Nashville TN as I did my biometrics there. I need some information from someone who has any idea or experience similar to mine.

Currently, my I-130 is in CSC. And my other applications (I-485, I-765, i-131) are all at MSC. So, do you guys think that I-130 and I-485 will be transferred to the Nashville FO sometime soon and be processed together? Or will my I-130 be processed separately in CSC?

Hi,

My I-130 was approved at CSC  and all other applications are at MSC. I think your I-130 will be processed separately at CSC and all other will be at MSC because as far as my knowledge goes MSC does not process I-130 forms. And if USCIS was notified when the I-485 was filed that it should be joined to the I-130 then i think you are ok.

Hi everyone!

I am reappearing today to share a good news, and let you guys know why I vanished.

I really love this community and the way we try to move forward together, but this issue hanging around in my mind was really starting to affect me and kind of driving me crazy. I had to find distractions from the wait, and until I paused the forum for a few weeks I realized it made a difference, those weeks became months, and now here we are. I entered occasionally to read about how you guys were doing, but never even logged in again, fearing this issue would drive me crazy again.

We started this things with just some questions and debates with QAF2A @thepanda @GiselaMargareta @lilydenris @Bfree3 @Bhumi @markx, and I knew sending that paperwork was a bet, a bet we were doing because we knew it was legal and that the path was there, for me was a bet to no longer be far from the person I love the most in this world. Now I feel it has become a living information source to enlighten and guide people showing what chart B actually means for a F2A applicant, and that sometimes it can help you be with your family and alleviate the pain of being away from each other.

I promised myself that I would enter and share the news either when 1 year had passed since "Case ready to be scheduled for interview" or the moment I received an interview notice. On July 2018, we got the "Case ready to be scheduled for interview", exactly 1 year later, we received the update that our case was scheduled for an interview 😮. Today, we received the Notice, and we have an interview on August 22nd 🙀

We are very excited and very nervous. And wanted to share with you guys this exciting news. And I really, truly couldn't even believe it until I got the interview notice.

Honestly, from March I had been feeling that our case had something wrong, that it was lost, misplaced or something like that, and we reached to our Senator that after a month said it was very strange, but that they couldn't get an answer on the case from USCIS, we parallelly contacted USCIS, that never answered that inquiry, and almost going crazy I reached to the Ombudsman, who said the case looked complete. (I sent a copy of the Medical via Mail, but not the Ombudsman, USCIS Customer Service or the Senator's team ever said they paired it to my case, tracking said they did received it).

Timing says none of those inquiries helped with the scheduling of our interview. I had also submitted my EAD renewal form, because I had estimated our interview could be anytime between March (when I sent them) and December.

For the ones that have had the experience of being interviewed: Your advice is welcomed!

Any question for this ghost from the past, here I am! :)

Hi, my i130 was originally at CSC and was placed under new jurisdiction now under MSC. It has not yet been approved but everything is together so I’m happy because this was definitely a huge fear of mine.

@Tenreyro hi old friend,

it was definitely the same for me: depression, anxiety, just bouts of overall confusion and “why me?” Syndrome... it was nice to get away from it all tbh... even though the group has been super helpful and I’m supportive of everyone’s journey. It’s just so hard to remain supportive and ultimately positive when nothing is moving for you personally.

Since I got my work permit last year, I’ve been happily working. Enjoying my life and marriage and just working on my anxiety and self preservation.

My i130 as well as my i485 are far beyond normal processing times so I’ve put in service request for those recently. My husband has his citizenship interview in August so we are very happy about that. And if the service requests do nothing between now and then , then we will upgrade my petition once he completes the oath ceremony and gets his naturalization letter.

Im wishing everyone the absolute best. Please tag me if you have questions about my journey  or just general. I really don’t follow along on visajourney but if you tag me or msg me privately, I’m more than happy to respond.

❤️🙏🏽

I am so happy for you that you finally got your interview letter. I completely understand that your choice to get away from here. Every time I saw someone move forward I got anxiety because I thought something was wrong with my case. I kept patiently waiting and received my Green Card when I least expected it.

Thank you for sharing your news. I was wondering if you have received your GC in the meantime but now it is clear that you still have the interview ahead.

Good luck with your interview!

@Bfree3,

I am also in a same situation, My i-130 is still pending and I did opened a Service Request and it has passed 30 days timeline to respond and I have not receive any response back from USCIS. I just don't know what to do since USCIS is not responding.

I guess I just have to keep waiting till my time comes :)

I believe it's ok, at least you know that they are working on your case and hopefully will assign you for the interview very soon! They send my approved I-130 to NVC and after 3 my requests, NVC replied back that I have just to wait until USCIS requests my I-130🤕

Raise another request. I raised one that was ignored and then another that was answered.Unfortunately, because I raised it in my name and NOT my husband's who is the petitioner - response was "you are not the legal representative for your case so we cannot give you any information". So  I had to wait another 30 days to file another SR. Now patiently waiting.

Still no updates for me. It still says case has not being assigned to an officer for processing. Still awaiting.

Hi @Bfree3

I am in the same boat with you that my 130 is transferred from CSC to MSC this June and no updates till now...

Do you think they will put it with your 485 together? I highly doubt it because 130 is under petitioner's name but 485 is under beneficiary's name

I will attend the 485 interview next month, not sure if I should contact USCIS about my 130 before the interview

Many thanks!

I actually do think they are together now which is why case was transferred to MSC.

You're correct @Bfree3, They will adjudicate i-130 at the time of your interview. That's what my attorney told me today. So I guess it doesn't matter for how long i-130 is pending, key is how soon you will be called for an interview and then only you will know :)

It's a difficult time to keep waiting for more than 2.5 years with no sign of a light :(.
