I saw sayings elsewhere that when you got your interview completed before your PD becomes current, your case could be approved in weeks, months or longer after your PD becomes current. It is really case specific. Long waiting might mean additional background check, case backlog and the like, or case being forgotten on the corner of one's desktop. In the case of the latter, an infopass appointment might draw their attention back and work on your case.

For the infopass I don't remember who says on VJ but my impression is you can call USCIS and talk to a tier 2 and ask them to arrange an infopass appointment for you if they think it is necessary. Please try it and let us know the outcome.

Thank you Issea for the suggestion. I will definitely call them again and find out what's going on after the weekend.

Take care!

Congrats! We have the same PD of I-130. Hopefully I get it soon... My case is still under F2A though. I feel it is forgotten.

I have raised Service request few weeks ago and got no reply. Yesterday I emailed a senator and a few congressmen. Let's see how that goes.

My I-130 was not approved yet during the interview a year ago. But few months after it is approved.

Now my PD has been current for sometime, but there's no movement on my case. I hope it is not forgotten.

Is there anything we can do?

Infopass cannot be scheduled at all in Chicago office, and the natural processing time deadline for I-485 is more than a year away..

Sorry, I don’t understand from your post if I-130 was approved. Was it approved? My PD has been current since a month. I received my I-130 approval in March and I had my interview in November 2018. Now I’m just waiting for I-485 approval in GC. I submitted my EAD renewal on Friday because I have the feeling that it’ll be a long wait and that I’ll need a new EAD when my current expires in August.

Dear friends! As some of you already know I am a LPR and my wife is student (F1) in US and I had filed I-130 form back in 2018. Our PD was Jan 5th, 2018.
In mid-April new visa bulletin has been announced and we became current for the month of May (cut off date: Jan 8th, 2018). We actually rushed a little bit and sent our documents earlier (in April, not in May), but we successfully intercepted it before they delivered it to USCIS. We got back everything (I-485, I-765, I-131) and sent them again in May.

Sent documents: May 11th, 2019

Delivered: May 13th, 2019

Got text messages: May 16th, 2019

Our check has been cashed.

Our field office is Boston, MA.

So they received our documents and sent us receipt notices for each form that we'll receive it probably next week.
I believe that the BIOMETRIC APPOINTMENT will be the next step and then the long wait will be waiting for us!

Thank you for all of your contributions, updates, information and feedbacks that have been very helpful!
I'll do my best to update you if there is something new :)

Best,

metehiki

Sent documents: May 11th, 2019

Delivered: May 13th, 2019

Got text messages: May 16th, 2019

Got all receipts for I485/765/131: May 20th, 2019

Biometrics appointment: June 4th, 2019

P.S. The biometrics appointment was super easy and quick!

July bulletin is online. Everyone in F2A are current. This will cause a huge backlog and delay and GC production. In addition to the already existing backlog.

@thepanda Yeah I saw that this morning, I wish they can clear all the backlogs from last year at least quickly including those who are awaiting for their interview to be scheduled.

FYI - My I-130 is still pending with NBC with no sign of any movement. Don't know if I can even open a service request with them since NBC doesn't process I-130's. Moreover, Seattle field service center is still working on July 2017 cases which means I am still far away for at least another 1.5 years before I will be called to appear for an interview.

Ah god, I have started to get impatient now :( .

This may be good news to those who have interviews scheduled in July so that they could get approved on spot or soon after the interview, and get their green cards in a timely manner.

Hey guys! I wonder if someone have been in the same situation, so you could probably help me. My approved I-130 ended up in NVC, I tried to email them, but got reply that they do not have it yet and I need to try to contact them later. Did anyone got transferred the approved I-130 from NVC to NBC or local office?

What is your timeline of I-130, i.e., when was it approved and when did USCIS claim to send it to NVC? It needs some time for NVC to have it in their system. And once USCIS requests it back, it also needs some time for NCV to react.

@issea They approved I-130 on 27th of April and stated in the letter that if I don't hear from NVC during month, I should contacted them. I contacted after a month and got reply that I have to give them 6 weeks since approval date. The funny part, at the moment they replied it was already 6 weeks>.<

I suggest give it more time, as for my case it took 3~4 months to have it in their local system (my I-130 was approved back in Aug 2018 and they sent me the notice of case creation in NVC in Dec 2018). I did AOS after receiving their welcome letter 😓, therefore had waited another few months for them to send it back to USCIS. I did my AOS interview in Mar 2019, and NVC sent back the petition in early April (I called to get this confirmation). Please note that it also takes some reaction time for the USCIS to have your returned package on record. After the NVC confirmed that they have mailed my package to USCIS, I waited couple of weeks before contacting USCIS but they still had no record about the petition package. My case was adjudicated recently (end of May), indicating the reaction time of USCIS could be around two months.

OMG, it's so frustrating😓 I might be overreacting, but I've already  dealt with USCIS backlog and it was so stressful. They delayed processing of my I-485 and I-765 because of RFE. It took them 10 month to approve my work authorization. And none of my inquiries helped unless I got infopass.

Hi @thepanda, my I-130 was not approved yet at the time of the interview, so the officer was trying to get it transferred to the office, which they did months later. Which is very similar to your case. I had interview in June 2018, and I-130 approved in November 2018. Now waiting. I have heard nothing back from either service request or email to the senator's office. Might plan to write to ombudsman in the next few weeks. I think my case is forgotten. ( Now seeing your post that July VB is current, whaaaat? What about us who's been waiting)

I submitted EAD renewal around a month ago, and have already got receipt, which adds 180 to my EAD, meaning it expires Jan 2019. Yet I see the processing time is long(5-8months). I do not want to lose my hard-earned job! I might look into expediting it around November. Do you think that is a good timeframe for expediting it?

Hello everyone,

I got my I-130 approved on January, 2019 and priority date became active in May, 2018 and applied for AOS package. Now stuck in interview to be scheduled since July, 2018 and from then no movement at all. Anyone in the same boat?
