Hey guys I did called to uscis..

They said my case is still under normal processing time..

They processed till 1 Jan 2017..

I'm kind of confused. What processing time do they mean? As I understood you already went through interview, got approved and your PD is current in Chart A.. You are just waiting for the physical green card😢

Hey they count your field office processing time.and she said your i485 status is interview is completed, but once pd becomes current they will make an decision based on interview..

My interviewer (officer) said that now I am approving your i485,but once pd becomes current you will get your gc.

So I am still waiting because my field office procced till 2 Jan 2018..

And I file my i485 on 28 March 2018..

That’s such good news, congrats!  Could you share which local office are you locate?

My PD is March/2017 and I’ve been waiting for interview since last summer.

For my understanding and according to other’s cases, if you complete the interview and your PD is current, they should approve your GC and you will receive it as soon as you complete the interview. I really hope that’s case.

Regarding the timeline, no one knows how the local office handle it, but I think F2A with a current PD should be treat the same as people who married US citizen that they submit I130 and I485 together because they are concurrent. Hopefully this is the case, so when F2A PD become current, NBC will send the I485 to the local office and they will insert the F2A case to their concurrent case line of work to conduct interview. This is just my guessing.

So far there is nothing to be confirmed but just waiting for my interview scheduled. I searched some F2A cases in northeast area, the impression is the interview will be schedule within more or less 5 months after PD become current.  Now the local office in NYC processing time for I485 is 20 to 30.5 months, if we take 20 months to calculate, my I485 was submitted in March/2018, so the 20th month will be Oct/2019. By then, if there is no interview, I should be able to receive my EAD renewal that I submit in March/2019. I’ll keep updated if I receive any notice.

@nocardyet- I am assuming you may have already completed your bio-metrics and photograph? If that's the case where did you go to do that? If you've an answer for that then the answer of your question regarding to local field office is, the location where you went for your bio-metrics, If I understood your question correctly.

Dear friends! As some of you already know I am a LPR and my wife is student (F1) in US and I had filed I-130 form back in 2018. Our PD was Jan 5th, 2018.
In mid-April new visa bulletin has been announced and we became current for the month of May (cut off date: Jan 8th, 2018). We actually rushed a little bit and sent our documents earlier (in April, not in May), but we successfully intercepted it before they delivered it to USCIS. We got back everything (I-485, I-765, I-131) and sent them again in May.

Sent documents: May 11th, 2019

Delivered: May 13th, 2019

Got text messages: May 16th, 2019

Our check has been cashed.

Our field office is Boston, MA.

So they received our documents and sent us receipt notices for each form that we'll receive it probably next week.
I believe that the BIOMETRIC APPOINTMENT will be the next step and then the long wait will be waiting for us!

Thank you for all of your contributions, updates, information and feedbacks that have been very helpful!
I'll do my best to update you if there is something new :)

Best,

metehiki

Dear friends,

Thank you so much for your prompt responses! Because you probably saved my life. I contacted USPS and made an online request which is called “Package Intercept” and with that they can hold it up 30 days or send back to you before delivering to the final destination.

I chose the second option and when I receive my package (probably on Monday, because it’s still in Boston) I will wait 2 more weeks and then send it to USCIS one more time.

Best regards!

yes the biometrics was done in orlando..

Yes, that should be your local office. Plus you can call USCIS and speak with the customer service, they will tell you which local office you are locate.

I moved from CA to NYC during the process, so now need to follow the NYC processing timeline.

Yes, I submitted I-693 with my 485 package on March/2018. So it's expired now, if I got interview schedule notice, I will do it again and bring it with me to the interview.

Hey

When I schedule an infopass appointment  it says like this:

Important office information

This office is not accepting walk-in requests or scheduling InfoPass appointments.

Only one option is to call them..

I just came back from oversea travel, using AP was pretty easy to re-enter.

I also tried to get info pass appointment and found out they are not doing it anymore, at least not for people who are within the processing times. Will definitely renew my EAD asap.

My I-485 is still considered under normal processing times,(the normal is 31months after filing I485), ridiculous. But I did manage to put in a service request online, I tried to explain that I already had the interview last year this time and as chart A has been current for more than 2 months, I am asking where is my GC, why is the wait still going. Let's see what they will say.

The new Trump immigration reform plans to cancel all pending GCs, and make us apply again. I hope it will not pass.
