Hello VG31,

I have tried doing that.. they couldn't help.. there is no way to re-issue a letter... in your case ..did you write a letter to transfer the case over to USCIS ?

My case is different, I filed AOS directly with USCIS since I was already in US at the time of filing.

Hello all,

I am a permanent resident and I applie i130 for my wife (Dutch) who has work visa here L1-B. I applied to Chicago office but they put our case in California and checked the website it says 22 months. Any ideas or estimated time?

Also, what is the Visa bulletin? We applied for 130 in October 2018 and status still as case received. Now F2A in visa bulletin says dec2016 .. could anyone explain that date? Is that the date of approval for i130 or date when I applied which is oct2018?

If everything is ok and our PD are current NBC will transfer to local office for interview and further processing.

I don’t think PD current or not is a factor for NBC to transfer the application to the local office. I filed AOS application as spouse of LPR, but now am that of USC. I recently contacted USCIS customer service and asked what I could do to update the status of my spouse (so that they could be notified that my PD is current), but was told nothing needs be done (given that my I-130 has been already approved). They said the interview date is not subject to the category of applicants (meaning no difference between F2A or IR-1).

Hi all,

I received the letter from NVC too. Don’t worry my lawyer said NVC will cancel by themselves after 12 months since we already filed and started AOS in USA. I think that is the protocol of NVC

Hi issea,

i might  not sure about PD but they do check completeness of application and finalizing process at NBC. My case is already transfer to local and said ready to interview but I haven’t received actual interview date yet 🤔

Hello,

The current wait time to process i-130 at CSC is 25 months. It seems you still have a very long wait time ahead.

The priority in visa bulletin has two charts i.e. Chart A and Chart B.

Chart A Date for F2A Category basically means that there is a visa available in that category and is eligible to issue for a Green Card when that date is after your i-130 PD Date.

Chart  B Date for F2A Category basically means that you can submit your file to do AOS while you're in USA once that date is after your i-130 PD. This will include submitting i-485 along with EAD and AP.

EAD and AP generally gets approved in 4-6 months from the date when you have submitted your AOS.

If you're still in USA with a valid entry, then you are eligible to file AOS once your Chart B Date passes your i-130 PD, this will put you in queue and you can file for EAD and AP together at the time of filing AOS (i-485).

It's very hard to predict when and how much  dates for Chart A and Chart B will move further.

It's a waiting game and require lot's of patience.

Good luck.

Thanks,

Hi there, I would like to share the update for my I-485 since today it shows the message "interview was scheduled". I hope it won't be a glitch. If not, that implies NBC arranges cases depending on the PD of I-130. The reason is I submitted the I-485 application very recently (12.27.2018) but I have an early PD on I-130 (2.1.2017).

My PD for i130 is Jan 12, 2017. I am not sure if they are giving interview dates based on the visa bulletin. Based on USCIS, the interview date on local office is based on the receipt date for AOS. Let's see what happens. The local field office for me is far behind from the receipt date that I have. Let's see what happens.
