Hey today also I got the same email and text notification.

There has been a recent processing action taken on your case.

Receipt Number: WAC...

Application Type: I130, PETITION FOR ALIEN RELATIVE

Your Case Status: Initial Review

On October 23, 2018, we transferred your Form I130, PETITION FOR ALIEN RELATIVE, Receipt Number WAC..., to another USCIS office. That office now has jurisdiction over your case. We sent you a notice that explains why we moved your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your notice by November 22, 2018, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation. USCIS reviews the applicant's/petitioner's criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud indicators. If you have filed an I-485, I-589, I-751, N-400, I-90, I-821, I-131 or I-765, you can expect to receive an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center to have your fingerprints and/or photographs taken. The timing of your appointment is determined by the number of applicants ahead of you that also need a biometric appointment. We try to schedule biometric appointments as quickly as possible and in most cases you will receive your appointment notice within 30 days of submitting your application. We will send your appointment notice approximately 14 days ahead of your scheduled appointment. It is important that you keep this appointment. If absolutely necessary, you can request that your appointment be rescheduled however, please be aware that rescheduling may delay the processing of your application. Please follow the instructions on your appointment notice if you need to reschedule. Occasionally, you may receive an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center to have your fingerprints taken when you have filed a form other than those listed above. In these situations, you may receive your appointment notice more than 30 days after submitting your application or petition.

I don't got letter yet so in that I don't know what is in that..

Waiting ..

If you understand than let me know..

Yes, it is same. Once you receive the letter it will state to which USCIS location it has been transferred to. In my case it was NBC, same center who is working on i-485 case. It looks like may be the officer working on the case may have requested the file to be transferred to that location so that they can look at the file together. That's just my pure assumption and I could be wrong as well.

If your letter also has the same USCIS location who is working on your i-485 then probably that's what it means.

Hello everyone,

It’s been a long time that I did not post or update here. Meanwhile life has so many changes lol

So basically I got the EAD/AP combo card, and then we moved back to New York due to my husband’s job change. In Oct, the I-130 form approved, and we are still waiting for the interview to be scheduled. Now my question is have anyone travel with the EAD/AP combo card yet? I know my friend used it before for short trip and I saw lot of other ppl posted with positive feedbacks. We are planning a trip to Europe for thanksgiving, since I quit my previous job that sponsor my H1B, now I’m only rely on the EAD/AP now, is it safe to travel and come back to US without any trouble? And also, we are expecting our first baby, so I don’t know if my pregnancy will be an issue when I come back from our trip….

Please comment or post if you  or your friend have any similar situation. Thanks a lot!!!

I think @thepanda recently travelled on AP/EAD and didn't had any issues while returning backt to US.

No worries, I got the same update in Sept and called the USCIS, they said the officer who scheduled the interview initially was not ready yet. Either it's a manually error update or system error update, just need to wait the new officer get ready to schedule the interview, they will mail me the interview notification.

Thank you @ladybirdapple  for answering me! Maybe I’ll call next week.  When you called, did you ask to speak to a tier 2 ?

Exactly. I quit my job in June. Received my combo card in September. A week later I flew to Europe for 4 days. When I came back I had the first inspection where the officer only asked me where I lived and then sent me to secondary inspection. No questions asked there and it took less than 5 mins because I arrived late and there weren’t many people. Only has to show my Combo card and passport. No worries.

I’m going back to europe in December.

sure, I did speak with a tier 2 since the first person cannot tell me more information other than the status I can see online.

I also want to get a confirm answer since at that time I just moved, not sure if it's because the interview need to be done in New York but not in California.

But they said no relevant, and they cannot say which center schedule the initial interview, they only say it was a mistake because they are not ready to schedule yet. that's why they cancel for now.

what do you mean secondary inspection?  so when you come back to US, do you go to the US residence line or foreigner visa line? (I vaguely  remember it's two line when you try to get out from airport)

My status for EAD changed to "New Card is Being Produced" but there is no update for the Advance Parole. The AP is still showing "Case was Received".

Did anyone of you have this issue ?

Secondary inspection means you have to stand on the side after your first normal inspection that you normally do until another officer picks you and a plastic box with your passport and your AP in it up. He then takes you or shows you where to go next. Secondary inspection is done in another room/section. Some people wait 2 hours and others like me less than 5 mins. No phones allowed. The officers get really irritated if you use it.
