Hello @Bfree3 & @talad,

glad to hear about the combo card. Fingers crossed.

For the timeline for my husband who is a Swedish citizen, I am green card holder (not sure why it is not showing up at the bottom like for others + I can't update the AP and EAD section in my timeline as it says it is the wrong visa type. Not sure how to fix):

Prio date November 30, 2016

I-130 approved April 2018 (still not updated on website)

Prio date for AOS package April 24, 2018 (sent I-485, I-131 and I-765 in same package)

Got email that interview was being scheduled in Stockholm (can't remember when). Changed it to AOS as husband is in the USA on E2 visa.

Got an RFE in July for birth certificate (which Sweden doesn't have). Responded on July 19.

August 1, 2018: email that they are ready to schedule the interview

August 21, 2018: email that new card for EAD has been ordered and will be sent to our home

August 22, 2108: email that interview has been scheduled

We have signed up for "Informed delivery" at USPS (there is also an app), then you get an email every day with images of all the mail you are going to get that day.  Very helpful.

Good luck to everyone.

@Bfree3, @talad, @thepanda,

Received notice about interview in the mail today; September 26, 2018 in Boston.

@GiselaMargareta Great! good luck...The green card journey is almost complete. (sigh of relief for you)💥😊

@Bhumi awesome! Is your I130 already approved? I feel the questions depend on the IO and how they interpret your relationship. Firstly, they will go over everything in your packet, ensuring all the information is correct and still the same, any corrections or added evidence can be given at this time. Secondly, they ask questions to gauge your relationship and its validity. It honestly depends on the IO because some people get "the second degree" and others get maybe 1 or 2 questions and they are good to go. No matter how many questions you review, you can never be fully prepared because you honestly don't know what will happen or what they will ask. Do not be nervous, think of it like a job interview, answer honestly and as best to your knowledge as possible. That's all you can do. Good luck!

@Supriya hi and welcome! I applied in Mid March as well (here's the thing that confuses me too though, my notice says PD is March 20 but DHS site says March 29) and unfortunately no updates either. Be strong and hang in there, its a trend at the moment as I've noticed others another forum in the same situation as us. I know it's very disappointing to see others around and after you getting their EAD but it'll work out when its supposed to and maybe one day we will laugh at this. I attempted to reach out to my congressman today, filled out the form and faxed it over and they were no help whatsoever. I feel absolutely dejected and despondent but this will not change my status. There was never an exact promise of when the EAD would come so I'm trying to let go of any expectations I may have had previously and also stop watching the timelines of others because there is clearly,absolutely NO rhyme or reason with USCIS.

And additionally FYI, USCIS has changed the criteria for expediting an EAD .. you can't expedite for severe loss to person or company anymore.

You will probably have the same experience QAF2A had. Your I130 will more than likely not be at your local office as yet and they will have to follow up with you at a later date. This is just speculation though.

Hello guys , Can Anyone tell me about what type of questions will be asked in uscis interview?

Can anyone send me link?

Hey bfree3 you have any idea?

Also QAF2A can you tell me from where you prepared?

Because they send me text message that my interview was scheduled?

Hi!

It’s been 2and a half months since my interview, status has not changed. But my I 130( PD: Feb 2017) recently was transfered from California to NBC

To prepare for the interview, we just read all the posts online, so we could be prepared for all kinds of situations. It was not necessaey, but the peace of mind it gives you!

Good luck!

Thank you for letting us know. Did you send your medical with your AOS package?

Your PD is earlier than mine. I don't expect an interview before next year but if I do get a letter before it would be a pleasant surprise. I am just happy than I can start my new job next week.

@thepanda

Yes, we sent the medical with the AOS package.

Today, we got the approval letters for both I-131 and I-765, and the letter with interview date. A good day indeed. We don't have the combo card yet but it says one can travel with the approval letter for the I-131. The status for the I-131 is not updated online yet.

Good luck to everyone.

Looks like I would have gotten my EAD even without expediting it. But better safe than sorry. :) Congrats!!! And it will be a combo card. No worries.

Thanks! I completely agree, better safe than sorry in these situations. I would have done the same thing if I had a job offer like you. Congrats and good luck on the new job!
